We have a reply.......
Any items left in the terminal are handed into Lost Property at the airport. The passenger's will need to contact the team directly. They can find contact details here: https://www.heathrow.com/airport-guide/terminal-facilities-and-services/lost-property . ^Steph
pretty basic reply but hope this helps you.

If it's considered lost property, it should end up here: https://www.heathrow.com/airport-gui.../lost-property and specifically the service behind www.missingx.com
Give them a call.
A search for "teddybear" didn't show anything up yet.

I've asked BA on twitter if they could possibly call the Lounge to see if it was picked up. Not expecting them to do it, but at least if they confirm its been handed in it will be easier to settle the wee 1's mind that she will receive the Teddy on return.

Indeed, although conversations with the BA staff in T5 when I left a jacket on an aircraft a few weeks ago implied that things go there fairly soon after being found in T5. Their customer service office is on the ground floor of arrivals right at the south end, past M&S and all way into the corner.

Being a perennial leaver-of-things on aircraft I added a MacBook to the list of Bose headsets, kindles, iPads et al that I have left behind. There remains an item accurately matching the description on their website some six weeks later, but MissingX only contact you if your claim is successful. Silence leaves the lingering suspicion the process may not work that well. One imagines that a reasonably high-value item would have been claimed by its rightful owner by this stage.

I was rather surprised to be reunited with my ereader via MissingX. The process does seem like some kind of dark art but it did work for me.
I only wish I'd known beforehand that the collection fee is waived for GCH.

A little update:
The tweet I sent out is getting a few comments (I don't know if any of you guys are on it) from people asking BA to help out a bit more.
1 person stated "it was left in a BA lounge not just in a corridor in Heathrow"
I have to say a quick phone call to the lounge is all I'm expecting, surely that's not to much to expect from BA??
As it stands, no further reply from BA apart from the comment I posted up-thread.
