2019 POUG rate tracker

Please add your own successful results to the follow list including the month/year when the POUG was offered to you. Please delete any figures from 2018 or earlier if you have a 2019 price. Previous data lives on via post 2.

UPDATED TO: Post #9

POUGs are offered via BA.com and the App Manage My Booking via a distinctive banner (example from MMB below). You cannot get a POUG by telephoning, however the service centres can complete a POUG which falls over mid transaction. They are offered on cash and Avios redemptions but typically not on complex routings, BA Holidays or travel agency bookings until OLCI stage. POUGs on Avios redemptions won't get you additional TPs/Avios, but they will on revenue tickets.

Thanks for the clarification there gypsyjaney.

Seems like an IT glitch then re your POUGs but i can't explain why. No doubt annoying but re £989 that's obviously far too much.

Maybe just keep trying very regularly and see if any UuA pops up but I'm not so sure on that route given it's mostly rammed loads and in February too.

Not sure this is the correct thread, but when I try and 'Upgrade with Money' on my May LHR - JFK flight, I get the following empty dialogue box. About a week ago the screen gave me money options for the upgrade. I wonder if there's a glitch?

Just as a data point for future ref. If I log into the RFS booking I did for my wife and stepson through either of their BAEC numbers, no POUG offered.
If I log into it via MMB red button in my email (logs into my exec account) it offers as 99 quid per person upgrade.

It's a lottery as far as I understand. There is no guarantee of there being POUG offers. Some times you get them, sometimes you don't. I don't believe buying one now will have any effect on the chance of getting one the other way

Which cabin are you booked in and what cabin is being offered at that price?

POUGs are not always offered on both legs and sometimes not offered at all.

Sounds like WTP to CW at that price. If its WT to WTP, then a definite no go

LHR - SFO WT (basic, no checked luggage) to WTP £289pp.

Thanks, but no thanks. I have bulkhead seats so I'm good back in WT. If they'd offered me WT ---> CW for double that I'd have snapped their hand off though.

Buying each leg separately does not mean the offer disappears. I recently upgraded LHR to SIN and then about a week later upgraded SIN to LHR, both on POUG.
