Although it seems the guys at Darlington crystal were trained by Swedish glass blowers, presumably not from Ikea!

Safe to say this thread could just as well have been played out in 'Hancock's Half Hour'. In other words, unlike some of the content posted on here it wasn't meant to be taken seriously.

That's Dartington Crystal....one of my favorite "everyday" crystal companies! I have a cabinet full of the stuff just waiting for the big one (earthquake here in Alaska). The company has an interesting history of being started to provide an industry for the area after, I think, the tin mines or some other industry went kaput....a local brought in crystal folks having determined that the locals had the right "skills" for a crystal factory. If I recall it all correctly.........these days that's a maybe!

I hadn't even realised they changed the colour of the glasses. While we are confessing, here is my wish list:

1. Couple of those new CW tumblers (so I can treat them to some decent wine).
2. The grey white company day blanket (to match the colour scheme in the house).
3. The classic CE tea cups (even though they are a bit shallow)

I wonder if BA got them free from Majestic? That's where mine came from.

Darlington Crystal is Dartington’s special, BA-only brand. Available in red and hi-viz yellow.

Moi aussi.

The child-like champagne flutes, on the other hand, are horrible.
