For the record :
GB (Great Britain) = England, Scotland and Wales
UK (United Kingdom) = Great Britain and Northern Ireland
I = Ireland
On this basis there has never been an ex PM of the UK&I !!
I hold no prejudice to any country or person. :-)

That might well be the same woman I saw by the pool at the Swissotel Nai Lert Park in Bangkok a few years ago. Laying on a sun-lounger, legs akimbo, she was plucking stray pubic hairs along her bikini line.

What on earth do you do when someone from your company is sat in the lounge with feet (shoes on) on the coffee tables?
Disgusting behaviour, but so would be a blatant ignore...

My personal etiquette is socks, however my socks never touch the floor as I put my slip-ons/sandals on each time I stand or sit up. However, when in long-haul economy I have no problem with taking my shoes off and putting my socked feet on the bulkhead, so take my opinion as you see fit.
If I'm traveling economy long haul, I always pack a pair of slippers in my backpack.
