I'm lucky enough to frequently travel that way for work (hanging off my boss's shirttails) and China simply isn't set up very well for private jets. India is very similar.

Bit (very) late to the party. Victoria Beckham Nairobi - LHR back in March. F, of course. Wishing I had taken the upgrade myself

I understand from my dealings in China that it's culturally unacceptable to get caught using general aviation.

It's a booming market just very secretive, a friend of mine flies a Gulfstream for a very wealthy Chinese chap. He says its downright scary flying into some of the smaller airports.

I saw Philip Hammond along with a few minions in the CCR when he was foreign secretary. On personal travel (guessing that's what it is) I would imagine the VIP services at LHR aren't supposed to be available to them?

Boris Becker was on my LHR-OTP flight the other day. Sat at the back of CE with a hat on and slept. Was met by two ladies at the top of the jetty with a crumpled ‘Mr Becker’ sign.
