20,000 Lifetime Tier Points - what next?

A QR flight earlier this week saw me exceed 20,000 LTP's. I fly very seldom on business (once per year) and am disinclined to undertake TP runs so I have no prospect of achieving Lifetime Gold.
When LTG was introduced, there was considerable speculation on FT about the introduction of Lifetime Silver. For understandable commercial reasons this didn't happen, after all, if you were to achieve LTS there is relatively little incentive to pursue LTG.
Which brings me back to my question, what next? 20,000 seems to be a milestone of sorts but I am not sure why. Any views?

If you're only flying enough for BAEC Rust status, then what is next is a Lifetime Tier Point level with 5 digits beginning with 2 for a couple of decades.

I profess to be in a similar position and with my working life now receding behind me the score has become irrelevant. The question is not can I make LTG -no (the wife would have something very forceful to say if ever I tried!), but what are the cost benefits of investing in another 1,500 TPs to ensure an additional 12 months of being a GCH. Have managed this year to squeeze in a couple of LHs including the late and truly lamented CAI/HNL, and also extended my HHonors Diamond for a year so am ok until 2019 but after that, horrors!! I might have to stand in line. And sit in the main terminal seating areas. I might become....one of them!! Oh dear....

I hate to be a pedant, but LHR-HEL-TLL in J (as I'm sure everyone here has done at some point) will credit 100 TPs on the same day, so 20,100 is an option that you have carelessly missed.

I’ll be up to 17500 LTPs by the end of the year. Don’t think it’ll be possible to hit Gold this year with projected travel plans.

Would be be great if they did introduce Lifetime Silver but don’t think that’ll happen. Another alternative could be if BAEC gave an option to upgrade to Gold by paying from LTPs (wishful thinking). That would be a nice thought.

It's not a milestone. lifetime TPs are only going to matter with regards to LT Gold and LT GGL, so if anything you could argue that when you reached 17.500 TPs, this was your 'mid-course' threshold, but 20k is basically nothing -- or maybe 20% of LT GGL if you really must.
