The 10 euro voucher is available for newly opened accounts and valid for use within 7 days of account opening. It sits in section MON COMPTE - MES BONS D'ACHAT and you need to actively add it on the payment page. The option to add it is between the payment summary and the box for agreeing with T&Cs.

How did you manage to buy 6,000 Avios? When I select the 2,000 option, I can only add to basket one of them.

Well done to those that managed to get 1/2/3 sets.

As I said over at hfp, you have to move quickly with this. I can't believe that so many people are crazily paying money to buy Avios just now. Have you seen the taxes on award tickets these days?
Maybe this Avios thing is like going to the casino: once you've started, you just can't stop, no matter how bad a deal it is.

The £200 / 20k option is broadly 2 short CE tickets to Europe (for £300 once you add the taxes), or a longhaul lift from CW to F for 2 people on a 241 with no extra fees. I'd go for either of those in most circumstances.

However, it's also a mistake to judge the value of Avios solely through the narrow prism of ex-UK BA departures. Worth remembering that people make very good use of them in different parts of the world, on a range of eligible carriers. I've just checked back on some domestic sectors I flew with JAL earlier this year, one of which was HND-NGS .....a little under 2 hours flight time. It required 4500 Avios + £4.10 in taxes - and NO carrier surcharge nonsense.

Yes, the cash element can seem ridiculously high on some redemptions (and no doubt still comes a major shock to anyone who looks for the first time, thinking that airmiles = free flights )

I bought 8,000 miles this time round, despite what I said above. I can get good value from Avios tix by avoiding BA!
