How did you get the Euro10 voucher?

The 10 euro voucher is available for newly opened accounts and valid for use within 7 days of account opening. It sits in section MON COMPTE - MES BONS D'ACHAT and you need to actively add it on the payment page. The option to add it is between the payment summary and the box for agreeing with T&Cs.

Cheers!
How did you manage to buy 6,000 Avios? When I select the 2,000 option, I can only add to basket one of them.

Seems they have a limited stock of the 2,000 option this time. It now indicates 'épuisé / sold out' and if you try to add to basket "Nous sommes désolés, la quantité du stock est insuffisante / We are sorry, the quantity of stock is insufficient".

Well done to those that managed to get 1/2/3 sets.

As I said over at hfp, you have to move quickly with this. I can't believe that so many people are crazily paying money to buy Avios just now. Have you seen the taxes on award tickets these days?

Maybe this Avios thing is like going to the casino: once you've started, you just can't stop, no matter how bad a deal it is.

Government taxes are not much. The scam is with the carrier imposed charges, which is the rip-off

If you have an immediate use, and not a massive pile of avios, it's not too bad ... and we have no real idea of availability: how many "crazy" people there might be.

The £200 / 20k option is broadly 2 short CE tickets to Europe (for £300 once you add the taxes), or a longhaul lift from CW to F for 2 people on a 241 with no extra fees. I'd go for either of those in most circumstances.

Yes, the cash element can seem ridiculously high on some redemptions (and no doubt still comes a major shock to anyone who looks for the first time, thinking that airmiles = free flights )

However, it's also a mistake to judge the value of Avios solely through the narrow prism of ex-UK BA departures. Worth remembering that people make very good use of them in different parts of the world, on a range of eligible carriers. I've just checked back on some domestic sectors I flew with JAL earlier this year, one of which was HND-NGS .....a little under 2 hours flight time. It required 4500 Avios + £4.10 in taxes - and NO carrier surcharge nonsense.

This. Or people might need Avios to position for their exEU/exCAI flights using RFS.

Yes I totally agree, I have never used my Avios for a flight from/to the UK. The figures have never added up for UK flights. But I've had many other interesting redemptions on IB, AB, EZ and AA.

I bought 8,000 miles this time round, despite what I said above. I can get good value from Avios tix by avoiding BA!

Do you need an Avios account? Or will an BA be sufficient.

I believe the only address you enter is a delivery address which is irrelevant when buying Avios. If not I would have added my UK billing address as well.
