Fond memories, I can confirm that you are permitted to wear such attire in the air traffic control tower at GIB to watch the arrival of your aircraft. Sadly the rig is tucked away in a box somewhere and I won't be adorning the CCR with it, if nothing else than for scaring, well, just about everyone.

I'm not bothered about the shorts, but I don't think you should be allowed in with those socks.

I know that in Australia if you're wearing a (as in one) thong you're missing something as you'd expect to wear a pair.

They're what we would know as flip flops

Although I would love to see someone trying to get into a lounge wearing a mankini.

Don't click that link if you're eating, have eaten, are thinking of eating etc.

I think we're all being short-changed...there's more to this story than he or she is letting on.

Were they football shorts? There is a clear "no Spurs" policy across the BA lounge network, and may explain the rejection.

In seriousness, I call troll.

Hear, Hear!

I've walked through T5 in pyjamas before due to the flight attendant spilling wine over me on the flight, however they were BA First PJs so perhaps that's a listed exception?

For those of us living / working away from home; ....and home alone .. an amusing thread.. so thank you all for making me smile.

I do like a bit of banter and inuendo and always welcome the odd pic of a uniform or two ( though preferably female)

May have been persuaded to make the effort to attend the Jersey Do for more of the same.

It could be that the 'shorts' were in fact 'briefs' rather than 'shorts', or some other form of undies!

In such a situation its recommended to state this is a form of religious persecution, and given BA's history with that... and rights-warrior Shammy Sham (Baroness Chakrabarti) will be on the blower demanding a press conference over this matter.

Tends to shut them up.

Indeed. Has anyone got to the bottom of the OP's issue yet?
