Cheers, megaloman and rapidex ... looks like see you next year, then

I still can't believe how lucky we were with that fairly narrow weather window ... with apologies to the slightly scorched

I had a thoroughly good time chatting to many of the attendees throughout the afternoon, and especially to Karfa, GagetGal, Megloman, Bettertoturnleftthanright, and ? (who's 'real' name I remember, but who's FT moniker escapes me!!) for a few lively discussions over dinner. I think on reflection those cacti were plastic

After this weekend I'm looking forward to whatever the next Do that I'm able to attend is.
Probably either me or cistavoda who were down the end!

What a wonderful Jersey Do! Sincere thanks to Uncle T.!

I very thoroughly enjoyed the conversations, travel anecdotes, sunshine, and alcohol with all of you. What a perfect way to spend a weekend. 😀

Terrific to meet so many famous handles. My only regret is that I did not get to introduce myself properly to every FTer there. I kept thinking that there was plenty of time to do so, and then, alas, I had to make a dash for a family dinner... crumbs.

Looking forward to seeing all you gamely globetrotters again very soon.

KARFA's year is now complete, his last 319 and a go around the day before.

I've never had a go around to this day, I should have went on that flight to the Do as was my original plan!

The CSM stopped by at the start of the return flight to make OldFruity feel less important in 1C (aka the GGL in 1D and 1F got the welcome). KARFA proceeded to tell her about his A319 achievement which I took as a good opportunity for humour kest she think all GGL track all aircraft they've been on!

We missed you PETER01... I told UncleT only half-jokingly that July 14 would be a good date for next year or July 7th as well!

I also bestowed upon UncleT some AA swag at the start of the Do. The backstory is that I told my contact at AA about our group's interest in tier point runs and the Do and UncleT's particular affinity for AA and was provided with some AA A321 and Embraer stickers. They're normally intended for children but I'm sure he'll put them to good use.

Haha, I am sure she didn't think I was that odd, doesn't everyone record and track the registrations of planes they have been on?

JER seems quite good for go arounds - on my last trip the pilot got us down at the third attempt. Fog being the culprit. After two go arounds the pilot said that he was now supposed to return to LGW but as he didn't fancy going back he'd give it one more go - fortunately the fog thinned briefly and in we went!
