I’d like to see whites with more age, giving the Chablis 1er Cru 2 - 3 more years etc.

Rather good whites in T5 GC North Today

The Chas Montrachet is drinking beautifully. Very good!

Fresh but with enough body. Suffering by being drunk after the Montrachet, but v nice anyway.

A bit meh to be honest. Drunk immediately after the Montrachet but would still have expected it to give more on the palate.

I should have had the Fuissé first, but didn’t want to miss the Montrachet. Both were very good. The Meursault was put out after the Montrachet was finished, not a bad wine by any stretch, but didn’t sing today.

The Montrachet I posted above could easily be an F cabin wine, without embarrassment.

They were serving it in First earlier this year. It was fantastic but I preferred the Goldwater of the same year served along side it.

I have long been of the opinion that wines are distributed among the BA Heathrow lounges more or less at random.

Unfortunately not this evening. However very contented to find a Saint-Emilion Grand Cru Classe and JW Blue hanging around.

Anyone been to the B Gates lounge lately and can report what wines and bubbles are available?

Recent (end May 2022) wine lists from the T5 CCR below. The Chablis was unavailable, replaced by a Pouilly-Fuissé (I’m guessing the Vincent Girardin posted above recently, but didn’t check). I also learned from this list that the CCR has “Allergen Champions”. Updated the CCR section of the Wiki.
