You can still do FRA-DOH-CMB-CGK on UL flights numbers for around £1500.

It nets 840 TPs, and is all on UL metal (except FRA-DOH-FRA which is on QR).

I asked about the OPs routing, specifically.
Will soon be flying on DME-DOH-CMB-CAN/HKG QR/UL also 840 TPs for 1240 EUR.

Is something like this still available? Had a quick look but nothing. Would be great to fit a upcoming needed DME trip on the way back to HKG.

Many thanks

I still see some availability for around EUR 1600 from both LUX and BRU to HKG.
Jumped up from EUR 1500 earlier this week though.

So maybe the sale price has gone and the jump is because that is the advanced purchase price which isn't as good? Sorry I haven't had a chance to look at the fares on EF to check myself.

Hello!

About to book our annual (or biennial) trip to Australia for Christmas and am finding an OK deal but nothing mind blowing - just wanted to run it past everyone to see if anyone had any opinions before I booked it. It's for 2 passengers, both BA Gold. And there's a stopover in HKG on the way in and SIN on the way out.

Code:
08 DEC: OSL-LHR-SIN-HKG [BA J BA I CX I]
13 DEC: HKG-MEL-BNE [CX I QF I]
14 JAN: MEL-SYD-HKG-SIN [QF I CX I CX I]
17 JAN: SIN-LHR-OSL [BA I BA J]
£2770.22/pp - 800 TP

Books into INCEU28

An almost identical fare I booked a couple of years ago priced at £1800-ish at the time, but I guess that's a) a different sale, and b) the pound's gone down.

So if anyone has any opinions I'd be interested to hear them

Thanks!

I booked a fare this morning for 2018 for £2414 via CX. It's only bookable via Cathay. The fare basis is IAARRNO8 (Oslo) or IAARRDK8 (Copenhagen). In my itinerary I'm going via HKG both ways with an outbound layover in HKG from 07:00 - 23:55 and inbound layover of 17:30 - 23:55 (next day).

If you play around with ITA Matrix just using LHR and HKG as the routing cities and use / minconnect 900 (900 being the min stopover time in minutes, you can vary this) then you should see some better results.

I never got the fare to price going HKG one way and SIN the other, so I think you would need to transit HKG for both legs.

INCEU28 isn't a sale fare but is actually available year-round. So booking it doesn't have the same urgency as if it were a time-limited sale fare - although the usual caveats apply about the possibility of the fare being withdrawn or amended. Personally, I had been waiting for a sale on this route, but eventually had to book a week or so back because availability was dwindling on the flights that I need.

The effect of the pound's varying value on this fare has been quite marked. Over the last 9 months or so, I think that the base fare has been down to just a fraction above GBP 1900, and then a few weeks back it was up to almost GBP 2100. Although I wasn't interested enough to check the original NOK value, that sort of variation looked consistent with exchange rate differences.
