This thread is an information based guide for the implementation of buy on board for shorthaul, focusing specifically on information for what is available for purchase and how to buy items from the menu. The first post has the current menu and an FAQ, by all means ask other questions if not already answered. This thread is not concerned with the rights or wrongs of the decision to introduce buy on board.

There is a separate thread for experiences, anecdotes, reactions and related comments, which is to be found here:
Buy on board: Experiences and reactions from BA's shorthaul economy services

If you have an opinion about the concept of Buy on Board, the right thread is:

New BOB menu now out, the menu is now dated, so in the case "Summer 2017". This replaces the menu upthread in post 43.

The new menu is below. Note that this is an information thread, if you have opinions about the menu they should go here, I will put a mention in so that it makes sense:

New menu came out approximately 3 October, this is the 3rd menu to be issued in the BoB range, menu 1 being in place for much longer than menu 2.

Yikes! All these glutens, cheeses, bread and nuts! Certainly a good publicity which is not aimed at me and my purse!

So no salad option? That's really disappointing. M&S do some great packaged salads.

This menu's a bit carb-heavy for me.

Carbohydrates are very good for you. Essential for your wellbeing. Eat plenty.

This is good advice. I had the beef panini tonight and regret not taking some bread rolls to go with it now

Seems although the v3 menu may be loaded the new items on it might not be yet. Was first to order on an ex-LHR flight on 07/10 and no Adnams IPA loaded and a person near me on a flight today was told by crew that the turkey sandwiches are not being loaded yet.
