Colleague at work flew back from an art festival in Venice last Sunday to LHR and was upgraded to the last row (12) of Club because his companion knew the captain. He glanced left and in the corner on her own was Nigela Lawson. When the drinks trolley came round she asked if they had a Campari. When told no she just settled on plain old H20.

Just have to look up her boyfriend and you'll see why she's not the ordinary type.

Believe it or not, flying short-haul, point-to-point, in economy is pretty ordinary behaviour - even for those blessed with wealth and celebrity status.

As for the partner... it's a comfort to many of us that beauty can find happiness outside its immediate cohort

And just to further compound that point, Jemima Khan is on my return to LHR this morning...also in Y.

True enough !

Indeed there have been countless media reports in recent years of celebs almost taking pride in mixing it with the plebs on s/h sectors (hints of inverted snobbery, in the manner of John Lennon and his famous NHS spectacles )

And given that many celeb/high profile types are not too proud to use LCC's, then being seen on BA euro traveller essentially amounts to the same thing.

Judi Dench in the CCR yesterday. Saw her notice the hallowed doors were closed but I also think I overheard a staff member ask her if she was waiting for a wheel chair as she stood just in front of the old check in desk in front of the hallowed doors for what I presume was her husband...DOH!
