I am fully in favour of the separate GGL/CCR security channel. Perhaps we could have a small bar in the security area with on of the CCR staff able to serve mini cocktails to keep you going until you get in the CCR itself?

Of course, but mini umbrellas in the glass should be fine at least

Ah but considering your love of AA for TATLs now I guess you won't be making any use of T5 anymore

Best thing I have read today. Haha, If only..perhaps a mini moving walkway for drinks as you pass through security to keep it with you.

That thought had, sadly, crossed my mind whilst reading the thread! However, if BA makes some tempting J/F fare offers (hahaha) it's not impossible we shall return and sample the First Wing experience! Or perhaps using BA to get to DUB?

As it's but six weeks until April, are there any more precise dates for the opening of the First Wing? Anyone able to take an up to date pic of the status behind the hoardings?

am very intrigued to know exact opening date...I'm through T5 on 23 April...which given (i) major switch this year to Star Alliance and (ii) booking a few BA trips out of LCY and LGW instead, could even be the one and only time I get a shot at this new Wing before I drop back to Silver....

Would be nice if I didn't miss it by a couple of days!

Wait until the official opening date is announced - then add 10 days on - and you'll then be somewhere close !
