We're talking about the same folks that removed a flower from a toilet to save money.

Hello, Have had this rumour confirmed.

As part of BA's ongoing focus on costs and drive to reduce waste, from1st September newspapers and magazines will no longer be availableat the gate for short-haul flights fromEurope returning toHeathrow.

Sorry all but I get the Telegraph although since it's stance on Europe and it's toadying to the Unspeakable Bojo I have grave misgivings.

However, I am delighted that it is back in the Lounges. The Cryptic Crossword I love and every so often Bryony Gordon writes something that absolutely resonates with me. She wrote the leader after that carnage in Nice and she put her finger on it 100%.

That, BBC Radio 4 in the car, The Archers, excellent TV drama, and Marmite are the only things that I really miss about the UK and I have got around most of that.

What has any of this to do with British Airways?

Disappointing. I'm not going to get into a discussion about the quality of Daily Mail journalism or its political leanings, but it did at least have a few puzzles to keep one mentally stimulated.

Perhaps ex-EUers will get lucky, and find a used newspaper from the inbound flight in the seat back pocket. BA can call it an enhanced recycling programme... and further reduce cleaning on the turnaround...

Actually I am thinking that the inbound/outbound flight pairing seat newspaper leaving meet-up thread may have a brighter future than originally feared....

Maybe it is so people don't experience the critical coverage Ba has had in the papers?

No doubt the mags about buying Bulgarian houses and other garbage will still be loaded in F.

A tale of woe if ever there was one.
