Last night I jumped on the Tallinn band wagon for a December trip to tick off seeing a Christmas market and getting the 170TP I need for gold by 8th Jan. £670 for 2, with 4 nights on a BA package, which I was very happy with!
This morning, I got an email from Amex with a £100 off £500 spend on BA flights. Does anyone know if a) this offer applies to holidays too (the flight component is <£500) and b) if there's anyway to cancel/rebook or get them to refund the visa and charge to Amex?

I did the same (having offered it to my card a while back when it was released) when purchasing flight + hotel and the transaction is showing as BA.com. The offer is based on spend on BA.com, therefore should be fine.

You tempted me, I'm getting tickets CAI-BKK in First for £917. Checked availability for Avios to CAI and will also need tickets from BKK to DPS where I have hotel booked already in Hilton error fare.
Who needs BA Gold if I can fly First for cash and get all benefits on other airlines ;-)

CAI-ICN was only around £670 in business however I think it's a bit poor 2-2-2 B777 unless my quick research wasn't very good and it's something better. Other destinations were a bit more expensive or I don't need to visit them.

I couldn't resist. Cancelling my 241 with BA to SIN over easter to Cai-BKK in first for just over £800. Let's see if it sticks.
