Unfortunately you were provided the link to this website slightly prematurely, which is why your BA executive club number would not have been recognised. The invites to our executive club members have not yet been sent or added onto this system, although we expect the invitations to start going out in the next 48 hours.

We apologise for the inconvenience at this stage. Unfortunately we are unable confirm which executive club members will be invited at this point, but will be able to do so once the invites are issued.

We hope that you will be one of those to receive an invitation shortly, and be able to join us for this special event.

So there is still hope for us all...... good luck ^
I have received the same email- typical BA sending out bog standard responses

Just called the GGL line hoping they had more info, they didn't (they were not aware of this event).

Apparently they will call me back as soon as they have some news (doubt it).

Thank you for your enquiry regarding the British Airways Explore and Discover registration.

It may not necessarily be BA replying, seeing as the domain is owned by a Brighton-based events management company

Also, the site's robots.txt file prevents bots (like Google) from indexing the page which suggests that BA didn't really want anybody to find it.

Perhaps BA just sub-contracted the exercise to a professional outfit, rather than cobbling something together at Waterside using in-house resources?

Their list of clients includes some pretty high profile companies, so this is the most probable explanation.

Nope, but the combination of BAEC Blue & bank holiday weekend didn't exactly make me hopeful (although in any case the email will be automated so the weekend isn't really a valid point...)

Let's just hope the delay is so they can prepare something really spectacular

I have managed to discover that like previous years I think there is an am and pm session. Hopefully that will increase chances of an invite but not holding my breath here

From what I recall and I have only been to one of these not sure if there was another, it was an all day event. On the Saturday for the general public and on the Sunday for Staff.

On Saturday it was sunny and bright and a very hot day and on Sunday for the BA Staff day the heavens opened.

It was an all day event. Quite cloudy in the morning but a nice afternoon. A few pictures

I don't know about the customer day but last time the staff day was in two sessions am and pm. I don't know if that is the case this year though.

The staff day this year is being done via a ballot system as opposed to first come first served that we had last time.

The customer day is by invitation but I have no idea who will be invited or what the criteria is.

Yes. Got mine this morning. Haven't you got yours yet? Didn't look like too many places left by the time I signed up this afternoon.

So I presume if we haven't got an email by now we are not invited?
