BA Open Day returns this summer 6th June

What a shame... was really looking forward to going with the family. Last time we left our twins at home but they are now 6 years old and I know they would love it. Very much doubt we fit the invitation demographics....!

Well so long as BA invites all of the EC

Maybe we could start a BA Open Day guesting thread? (assuming the guesting rules are the same as last time). I will happily volunteer to be placed on the list first

The staff (plus family and friends) day is separate from the customer one, being held on Sunday. The ticket lottery for that opens tomorrow so perhaps we'll learn more about the public one then too.

So, just to clarify the one open to the public will be Saturday 6 June and there is one open for BA staff on Sunday 7 June?

If it is how it was done last time, an email went to everyone in BAEC and it was just first come first served via a link in the email itself. Even meaningless Blues such as myself got one.

It was a fantastic day out too, as well as a fairly regular flyer, I am also a complete avgeek.

I totally agree and hope that BA might adopt this approach like before as I can't imagine Blues like myself getting invited!

I reckon the chances are good. The last one was, as well as everything engineering and technical, a big showcase of all BA's products. There was an A318, a new (at the time) 777-300ER and a 747 (I thoroughly enjoyed a look around the crew rest areas and cabins whilst everyone else fought over a 30 second visit to the flight deck).

If they limit that to shiny card holders, they're limiting their marketing reach, when others might not usually be exposed to those products! It makes sense from a business point of view as well as giving everyone a great day out. Hopefully that's how they do it, anyway!

No luck for me either. Seems strange as I live locally and am GGL. Maybe next time!

Now, the Milan Do sounds like a possibility if I get some free time that weekend.

No invite email here, and none of the accounts in our HHA are allowed to register Seems there's a strict pecking order!

No invite here and neither of our account numbers are recognized. I wonder what the criteria is?
