I've only received this promotion in one year (tried searching for it, must have deleted it). It was around the time bmi scrapped GLA and AMS so my BA travel started to ramp up somewhat but not excessive.

I can see that the target audience may be infrequent BA travellers but sometimes the old guard like a little thank you as well.

birthday bous query

My query relates to a booking that I may make during my birthday month, and relates to legs of a flight within a booking, as I specifically note that in the T&C oneworld flights or codeshares are not eligible. For instance I am looking at a LON-MIA booking, whereby the outbound leg is direct on BA, but where the inbound leg would be MIA-EWR on AA, and then EWR to LHR on BA. Does anyone know whether the birthday bonus would kick in as both TATL sectors were on BA metal, or whether it would get kicked out as there is a AA metal flight within the itinerary.
