Oh that’s a relief. I know all too well the thrill of booking a new adventure then the positive vibes as the calendar rolls forward to the much anticipated day of departure, which in itself is a source of excitement especially when it brings new chapters to the travelling experience. I thrive on it!

I did a lot of AA last year. The flights were fine; I too enjoy the 77W business product (food excepted) but my most memorable flights happened to be on BA and in much less salubrious conditions - WT+. Reading your report reminded me that maybe I’ve had my fill of AA for now - looking back at 2015 my AA experience feels anemic now (is that the right word?). Maybe I just missed the warmth and connection I have with BA crews, so in 2016 BA will definitely will see me back in Club World again.

Cheers!

I shall refresh the joys of BA CW in 7 weeks (LGW-KIN), after the luxury of the BA First Lounge ... ah, disregard that

Excuses, excuses!

If I don't write mine while still jet-lagged/exhausted, it doesn't feel right

I must warn you that being old and retired doesn't stop you being exhaused after 8 days in HNL (and the associated flights!)

We understand. You also have a bottle of JW Blue and a bottle of 2011 Anthonij Rupert Optima to finish off, so we know where the TR sits in your list of priorities

Haha. JW was finished on Saturday just gone. I had the hangover to attest on Sunday. It was delicious

The Optima - thank you GLA lounge - was finished not long into the TR
