7 aircraft. Operate AMM, BEY, CAI, DME, GYD, TLV.
Of course they could be converted but I don't think there is any plan to.

I'd like to see a larger sub-fleet of CW/WT equipped A321s that can operate longer routes such as IST. BA's CE product simply isn't competitive against TK on that route and even less so when the 30" CE seats arrive.

LH A321 operation is a bit inconsistent at the moment but from W14/15 season it will operate as follows out of LHR:
T1
BA145 GYD 12345-7
BA147 AMM 1234567
BA149 BEY 1234567
BA155 CAI 1234567
T5
BA165 TLV 1234567
BA167 TLV -2-4--7
BA235 DME 1234567
BA237 DME 1234567
T1
BA145 GYD 12345-7
BA147 AMM 1234567
BA149 BEY 1234567
BA155 CAI 1234567
T5
BA165 TLV 1234567
BA167 TLV -2-4--7
BA235 DME 1234567
BA237 DME 1234567

I agree it would be great to see them on routes like IST. The problem is, once the new CE is fitted, the relative cost of moving a route from short-haul to mid-haul config will then be even greater than it is now. So it would need to deliver a very significant boost in revenue per seat to justify it. Here's hoping though!

Not enough space to back-cater full meals on the A321, and local catering at DME discontinued with introduction of the longhaul fleet: http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/briti...hot-meals.html

Have experienced this CW product several times on GYD and TBS routes and it's excellent - especially the individual seats. The WT cabin also looks nice - individual IFE etc and rarely full on GYD. It needs to be competitive on the GYD route as the competition - Azerbaijan Airlines have a very nice Business Class product on their 767's.

Must admit the Mid Haul CW cabin is great. With the British Embassy reopening in Tehran, how long before BA reopen the service with the Mid Haul fleet?

We have been told numerous times by bosses at BA that 'mid-haul' is an area we have not fully reached our potential in, so I guess, watch this space!
