Tell me why? CCR Burger?
The issue of the CCR burger has been baffling me for a while and I must now ask you what it is that tempts you to have it? It seems to be a rather popular choice on this forum?
I must ask because I find it to be the most boring thing on any menu (not just at the CCR), almost impossible to eat elegantly and the last thing I would ask for, but that's of course my preference and I would like to understand what attracts people to have it/try it.
In particular, it doesn't seem to get a very good review on this forum, adding to my failure to understand the rationale behind its popularity.
If I want to have a burger I'd go to Burger King, or McDonalds at a push.

I tried it as I love burgers and assumed it would be good and I do not care one jot for the ability to 'eat elegantly'
That was in 2009, I have not ordered it since and nor will I ever again (unless reviews on here improve markedly!), I'd genuinely rather have McDonalds burger.

I find the mcdonalds burger to be superior too. Too much fiddling with the meat. Just mince and cook thank you.
Your average kebab shop makes a much better burger, but you can't beat burger and chips for tasty comfort food. Not everyone in the CCR dines in fancy restaurants all the time.

I love a burger, but the CCR one is awful. In fact no burger I've had since was as good as these in Chicago
Curiously, last time I travelled through T3 I found the burger in the F lounge there to be much better than the T5 one.
I can also confirm the the burger in Virgin's Clubhouse is also pretty poor

The teenage Jr Tobias always chooses the burger (with blue cheese) and he enjoys them.
Sometimes I feel people here use a little too much hyperbole when it comes to anything BA, look at the comments we've seen of late about First. Sometimes, by the descriptions used, it appears some use a different Concorde Room or a different First cabin than the ones I use. I often don't recognise the product they are talking about. Some like to moan/criticise, it appears, for the sake of moaning or criticising. The burger 'discussion' is no different.
At the end of the day it is just what it is, a burger. Some like it, others love it and others hate it. I hate sushi, my wife loves it but we never go on and on and on about how horrid/great it is. It's all down to taste, or perhaps snobbery ...

Because a good burger is simply divine. I make my own and they taste amazing (hardly difficult to make!). They are indeed one of my favourite foods.

If you want a tasty proper burger LTN Phobia you order them at the classic steakhouses in NYC/Chicago etc.
And then you have specialised joints such as Shake Shack (very good burgers), Burger Joint at Parker Meridien NYC, and many other good places in NY.
Burger and Lobster in London also does pretty good burgers. There is one in Mayfair just of Piccadilly.

I've had it a few times and find it okay, nothing special. I always have it with blue cheese as I find the cheese really brings out the flavour. I absolutely loathe McDonalds so if McD's burger is better than the CCR version then McD's has improved vastly since I last had one.

Yes, it is just a burger, but it's also not a very good burger. There are a lot worse out there, but there are also a lot better

Additionally when suffering the associated tiredness with travel the burger is easy to eat (if not elegantly) - the meat has been ground up so there is no need to do too much chewing. You don't have to cut, just lift. It's the easy option, and filling with it.
It guess it is also an indulgent treat when away from the family - when out in a restaurant 'proper' the steak may be the perceived acceptable meat option, when solo why not try a juice burger with all the trimmings!
Most people who order it will not have read the opinions of others on here. They will just simply fancy a burger. Especially teenagers!
