LHR > HEL > LHR in club looks to be the easiest solution to get the necessary points. Flying out one Friday after work, hotel on points, back on Saturday evening, 369. Plus I'd quite like to see the place anyway.

Any reason why I shouldn't do this routing? I'm based between Heathrow and Gatwick if there are any other alternatives. I tried MLA but could get the dates to work.

Admittedly it is a bit speculative because I think I'll be travelling a lot again next year and my employer only allows premium economy but worth it I think, and it should be fun if I can encourage somebody to join me.
Only others that are around the same price as HEL and get 160 TPs at the moment are ATH and IST. Also RAK as well from LGW as ExpatSomchai mentioned.

You could get a Sunday flight back from HEL and have a weekend there if you want to go around Helsinki.

Thank you both, I will look at RAK and ATH having been to Istanbul with work in the past. Both good options too, so it's just a case of making the timings work.

As an added bonus, remember double Avios are on offer for US flights over the next three months - http://www.britishairways.com/travel...s&nocache=6128 ^

Having booked my TP run to HNL, I've noticed that one of the flights is missing from the BA booking record (all the flights are showing up on AA). Worth following up with BA?

What's your budget? When do you want to travel?

One rather easy way is a week-end of AMS-LHR-HEL-LHR-AMS in CE 240 TP for 965€ eqv 799; random dates May 16-18

I had similar issue in my TP run to CUR. My CUR-MIA-JFK (AA operated) was not visible in BA MMB, I think this was due the fact that my CUR-MIA-JFK was not connecting to BA at either end, but I had stopovers in both ends. All flights connecting directly to BA was visible in MMB, I doubt the pure AA segments are in Amadeus PNR at all, but only on AA's Sabre locator.

you'll be fine - has happened to me before. I assume you have an AA booking but some of it will show on BA MMB if there are BA flights - but it won'tshow in the same way as the AA one (the main one) will do.

Decided to bite the bullet and chase Silver for the first time. Have booked on US (economy, ouch! Altough the double Avios promo does make the thought slightly more bearable) for the beginning of May: MAN-PHL-CLT-PHX-HNL-PHX-PHL-MAN for 796 (2.04 /TP). That's a lot of flying in 72 hours, but if the BA Avios calculator is correct, it should yield 390TP and 34,000 Avios, and I'll hit Silver with my last flights of the year on Christmas Eve

E: Now the only question is, how do I book seats using the CX Gold?

Ouch. How much more would it have cost for an ex-EU in J/F? That's one hell of a trip in Y. Good luck. I don't envy you that one.

Probably not that much more, but ex-EU is out of the question because i have 0 days holiday that I can use for this, hence I'm having to cram it in the Bank Holiday weekend. I do have lounge access at least in the form of CX Gold and Priority Pass so that helps a little bit. I'm a good sleeper and I've a tablet full of c**p TV shows so I'm feeling positive about this!

Good luck! That's a courageous Bank Holiday exhaustion, at which you'll just smile, when telling friends about it.

(They will think you're m@d anyway, so just smile)
