Thank you both!

So I just tried a booking, and am getting the problems listed above. I want to fly out on a simple return ORD/LHR/ORD outbound in June, back in July. Do we think this should work or not?

Which problems are you referring to?

Well, principally, that the discount doesn't show, and if I try and put it in manually, that it says it is not valid. But I also have the issue with search engines, etc.

What dates are you trying to book?

Out ORD/LHR on 18 June, return 23 July

I just did a dummy booking for those dates in Y, and got the error message that the discount code CHASEBA2018 is not valid. I have no clue what the problem is.

Did you log in? you probably need to log in for the discount to work.

One must be logged into BAEC before starting the booking process; the discount code will not work otherwise.

It wasn't that way for the previous code, but it works that way now.

I want to report back that the BA Chase Visa and the AARP discount combined successfully. First log on to the BAEC account. Then log on to AARP and click 'Book now' to get to the BA website. Then go to the Chase BA discount page, click 'Book now', search and book with the Chase BA promotional code.

Looks like the code to use from now on is CHASEBA10 and it has been extended to March 2020 which is helpful.

Is there any problem with using this discount code but using another credit card for purchase? I do have the Chase BA card, but I'd rather use my Platinum Amex for the 5x Airline bonus. (Is there any benefit to using the Chase card other than 3x Avios? I'm booking in WT+ so free checked bag is not an issue)

I have not been successful trying to use the code CHASEBA10. My flight originates in the UK, flying to SFO, return. I'm logged into my BA account, and starting the transaction from the Chase/BA discount page: www.britishairways.com/en-gb/executive-club/collecting-avios/credit-cards/usa/chase-visa-signature . The prices shown are exactly the same as if I entered the BA site directly, and no discount is offered or shown.

Maybe this discount only works when starting a trip in the USA?

THANKS

Indeed it does. From the terms and conditions:

Valid only for new bookings made by US resident Executive Club Members paying in USD with their valid British Airways Visa card issued by Chase, for travel on flights operated by British Airways from the US to London and beyond.
