Do you have the Chase BA card? Wondering if your BA account is somehow tagged as a Chase BA Visa cardholder to allow the discount regardless of payment type. Or are you just able to put in the code and get the 10% off?...

Changing from BA to AA FF#
I logged on to BA AARP , selected my flights , added my ChaseBA10 after logging into my BAEC account , and the discounts were stacked as expected. Then I changed to my AA EXP -OWE FF number and it wanted to charge me for seat selection. Is this correct ?

Almost certainly not correct, but you can go in and select the seat after the purchase and you should be able to do so without a fee.

Hi, the Chase US BA Visa terms quite clearly state this promotion code can be used on the phone with BA reservations. ("Bookings via a BA call center will incur a $25 per person processing fee. Discount promotion code CHASEBA10 must be quoted at time of booking.")
How should we confirm that it is in fact being correctly applied? What are the magic words to tell the agent? Thanks!

So has anyone ever had an issue using the code without actually having the card?
Or using the code and having the card but not using the card to pay?
Travel insurance on other cards is so much better, the additional travel insurance cost eats up most of the discount.

Yes, many reports lately of the code not working as promised, discussed in this other thread:
