I'm with you there; in the version I recall it involved a Texan and and an Irishman.

Fewer upcoming bookings means fewer treks to the airport, less time going through security, and more importantly more time at home. 7 trips
this month and 0( so far) next month....heaven

Could this be some form of a record?

Yikes. For sure a record. I'd probably up and move for a year or so if it is all to the same place, or at least for the favorable seasons. Isn't that an awful lot of money to be floating at BA?

True, but with so much travel, it might be easier to find one at both locations

Please always speak to a lawyer before trying that idea out.

I have zero bookings, which makes me a little happy that I don't need to fly anywhere

Though, I do still have 100TP to collect before October for my Gold Card!

Or you simply do not wish to subject your spouse to the boringness of the place and you do not wish to be stuck in the boring place for the weekend!

Im sure bjorns will be back to answer shortly, seeing as I know him personally I can answer some of the questions:

All bjorns bookings are CE returns.
From ARN to LHR CE is constantly on offer for around 250GBP return if purchased 30 days in advance, R or I class.

So if you know that you will be flying back and forth every weekend for at least a year, why not stump up and be done with it? 250x50=12500GBP. Slap that on a BA branded credit card and another 25K avios for free.

50x80=4000 Tier Points.

Because that's a lot of money to trust BA to "hold" for you or your company.

If you pay by credit card surely it doesn't matter so much how much you trust them to hold your money!

I rarely have more than a handful of trips planned at once (mainly travel for leisure, and not too frequently).

That's interesting. 2 years of that and it's GGL. I spend more than that on BA, but will never get to GGL status with current flying patterns.

But it also means I'm not on a plane every week! -maybe every 2 weeks...

I've just come back from ARN and I enjoyed the trip - great service and wonderful views over London but to do the trip each way every week, nah, I'd need a very big incentive. Yes, a wife and kids is a great incentive in of itself but enduring passport and customs gives heart sink.

Perhaps there should be a gold medal for Sir?
