But - seriously, BA?

Calling the BAEC line in Bremen, on +32 2 717 32 15 at this time results in a recorded message in French, German and English explaining that the Executive Club is only open from 9 AM to 6 PM, Monday to Friday.

It is Thursday, and it is currently 9:17 AM in the UK, which means that it is 10:17 AM in France and Germany...

It's a holiday today in Germany I believe. Still should be open I think.

It is ascension day in quite a bit of mainland Europe today, including Germany so I would guess they are shut for the holiday.

I still dont understand why they cant use another office even if that country is on holiday. Or set up somewhere in Phillipines or Ireland to handle the calls.

Agreed, if it's a public holiday and the office is closed then it's very sloppy not to either: (i) incorporate that into the standard message; or (ii) on those days have a different message to cover those situations.

That's a landline number in Brussels, Belgium, where today it is a bank holiday (Ascension Day).

Well if you are aligned with most of the posters to this thread that I started

You should be happy to wait for a month or so before your call is answered!
