Unfortunately not - although I have done this to a certain extent.

Going back to the hotel we stayed at last year. The owner said not to worry about payment until we are there as they know us (normal for most hotels, but this is a 2 week holiday normally booked via Thomas Cook etc, but this time booked independently).

I got the card and insisted I paid in full in advance !

The hotel also just lets you sign for anything when you are there and then pay at the end of the 2 weeks - Again, fairly standard, but not quite so standard on a 2 week 'bucket & spade' holiday

So I have put a large chunk to 'pre-load' my account at the hotel.

They must think I am a lunatic !

Having said that - if ever you want a recommendation for a hotel in Afitos I would happily recommend them (always top on Trip Advisor too)

I have stopped using the Amex as the 3 months have passed and I got excellent bonuses, especially on the overseas spend (25x). I got a nice surprise when checking my AVIOS to find that Lloyds had give me 10k points. Is this a thank you bonus for having the card?

Finally mine arrived today, with the PIN in the same envelope.

Genius.

Only a £2k credit limit though, which will be somewhat limiting when earning miles.

This is what I got. I'm just paying it off once a week.

When do your statements come through, and does the statement show both standard and bonus Avios?

Just received my first statement - no bonus Avios listed. Should I contact Lloyds or wait and see what happens?!
