I heard on the radio this morning about this website:

Which basically gets people or organisations who have spare tickets for events to donate them too troops in the UK.
It then got me thinking if there is any way of doing a similar thing from FF to guest troops into the lounges not just BA but anyone. Obviously it could be quite complicated to administer and it could be quite risky if said troops decided to get very, very drunk.
But I am sure some of the great minds that frequent this board would be able to advise, or equally shoot me down in flames with a simple reason that it could not happen.
It was just a thought anyway also I know that many people are uncomfortable with the conflicts we are involved in around the world but support for troops should be universal^

Quick question, is is acceptable to PM someone asking to be guested into a lounge based on the ba97 calender. I PM'd someone once a while back asking about being guested into the lounge but never got a PM back. I see a couple of people flying from LHR on Friday afternoon around about's the same time as me but don't want to annoy people if it's not the done thing.

My son is flying out to JFK with my wife on BA117 (first NYC flight, 08:20) on Friday 5th Nov - she's running the NYC marathon on Sunday 7th but is still in WT outbound. If anyone's in T5 that morning (BA97 is resolutely bare) would appreciate one or both of them being guested in.
Son back from Montreal on Wednesday 10th in the evening on BA94, wife will probably just be raring to get home so not really interested in the lounge on the way back!
