Having used T4 this week, I agree that you can hardly recognise it at first sight.
In departures, I used to remember a feeling of space - there were no false ceilings as I recall. (I may be wrong). A lot more shops but still some of the old T4 has survived in bits and pieces. (Why were there always gates 1a, 1b and 1c?)
Arriving back, I'd forgotten the long slope down to passport control.
Anyhow, I'll not be going out of my way for another AF/KLM points-expiring-blocker. Door to door, an increase of 2 hours travelling time plus the chaotic transfer I experienced at Schipol, having to go through security again
