Reward availability
Hate to start another stupid thread with no answers but its march and there is almost no reward availability between North America east coast anywhere to London for most of December and early Jan. now I know it's the holiday season but did I miss the availability or has it just not been loaded yet. premium cabins. If its not likely to show up between now and the fall I will bite the bullet and book the fares but if its just not loaded and likely to load more seats if just the minimum have already been booked I'll wait.
Booked last year but don't remember doing it this early

Did a quick check just now.
15th Dec: EWR -> LHR 4F and 9CW
16th Dec: EWR -> LHR 8F and 18CW and 1 seat on the LCY service
17th Dec: EWR -> LHR 13F and 18CW and surprisingly 8 seats available on BA4
[KVS Availability Tool 7.1.6/Diamond - Axess: Awards/JL-OneWorld/UK]
18th Dec: 4F and 12CW and 10 split across the BA 2 and BA 4
Don't know what exact dates you were looking for so stopped looking at that point. EWR seems pretty wide open at the moment.

I picked 6 Jan 2014 as a random return date and here's the availability which looks plentiful:

How are you searching for reward availability or did I just get lucky with my picks? If so I should go and buy a lottery ticket

I suspect the dates right around Christmas time get snapped up early but 18 Dec to 6 Jan is available to/from New York.

there appears to be an almost blanket block on reward availability between 18 Dec and 4/6 Jan - believe me, i've been looking at various destinations in far east and US since 350 days out and nothing has been available for these dates in first or biz certainly (i havent been looking at econ or WT+)

It seems a responsible business practice that an airline would not release any/many seats on flights that they are confident will be oversold with revenue pax.
Frustrating for those of us who'd like to travel at peak times but at least BA doesn't have official blackout windows so there's always a chance of something on some routes.
