+1 and it was head and shoulders above the LGPS too. Please BA, bring it back!

I hope you never have to fly CE, I'd be overjoyed if Taittinger of any form made its way to CE!

Now I happened to misread that. I read "the JFK CCR today had Taittinger or some similar 15 bottle of Champagne which even as a 21 year old i was disappointed with"

So for a minute I thought you were 10 when you did that concorde flight!

I'm sure I could drink the cost of my ticket

I remember being served this in First circa 2004. A very fine Champagne indeed.

Thanks for giving a date. Quite a long time ago.

Done. In fact I was onboard QR when you were there.

LondonElite and layz I polished off a bottle of Krug, a half of d'Yquem 08 and 3 glasses of 1974 Kopeka Colheita port. I reckon about 30% of the total cost of my CAI-DOH-LHR ticket.

I feel a Do coming up on regional QR...it might be an idea to politely inform QR ground staff to stock appropriately!

I need to be in DXB area in Octoberish...could position from there.

PR Sir WC 86 on the Rocket in 03. I think they had it in the CCR too.
Krug in F in 02. Don't think they have ever served it in the lounges though.

Perrier-Jout Belle Epoque was in the T4 CCR and onboard in May 2003 in the good old days of the LIS flights.I can also remember Piper Heidsieck Rare being on board a few years back.On my one and only rocket flight it was 85 Dom August 94.

I have had Piper Rare on SQ J before.

Ah the Rocket service, of course you could never guarantee which fizz they would have onboard that day as they were chosen from a wide selection in the Concorde Cellar. All on the list were pretty stellar though.

The Concorde Cellar still exists. Following a little Gayla at Waterside I left with a present of two bottles of red from said cellar. The Gevry Chambertain is still drinking well.

What's the pink Champagne in the CCR at the moment, didn't have any when in there recently (too early, even for me), but has been Bollinger whenever I've been in there since my first visit in 2011

I miss the Cattier Clos de Moulin most. BA bought that entire vintage mix. There really aren't that many proper "clos" (historically walled off single vineyard), and the fellows who make it are smart enough not to waste it on conspicuous consumers - Cattier make "Ace of Spades" (although JayZ owns most of the economics), and for that they use a souped up version of the their 20 NV (also packaged in cheap gold foil, that's how Jay-Z's guys found them). No Clos de Moulin juice is wasted on Ace of Spades (unlike Cristal where Roederer really do put their best stuff in)
