Out of last 4 bookings all relatively straight forward one ways:

Truptee - 15 minutes
Anyone else - 45 minutes to 1.25 hours

LHR-SIN-SYD on SQ F (744s). 50k + 340 + 240 tax. A fine way to clear down the balance sheet a bit I would say. Quite a long layover in SIN (9.5 hours).

Now just hoping they cancel more 744 rotations out of LHR in March ^

Redemption to KL

Managed to book Birmingham - Frankfurt - Kuala Lumpur in April in J.

2 x 60,000miles , 2x 404 cash , 2x 380taxes!

Dont know if it is the credit crunch, but there seemed to be alot of availablity in April!

Was hoping to book in First but only found out that no longer possible.

You mean no availability right?

I thought LH F was only verbotten for cash+miles but pure miles were ok?

LHR-VIE-LHR in Y outbound and J return was 11250 miles + 108 GBP in taxes! ITA only quoted 96 GBP but I only checked after.

Do you think this is cheap or expensive?

It is only one way.

Sounds perfect to me, given how hard NZ seats to LAX are to come by these days.

If anything the taxes are a bit on the low side. Great use of miles.
