I am looking at a DC points redemption for the route EDI-SYD. Looking at the available options, the SIN-SYD leg is a no go on the dates. But there are a good few options for the EDI-SIN (either via LHR or FRA). I think my preference is the EDI-FRA-SIN using their new A380 which connects with an SQ service on codeshare. If I purchase the EDI-SIN legs with my DC points and then purchase the SIN-SYD leg direct with SQ (or agent), will they check my bags for the whole route, even though the tickets are separate (but still with *A)? Hope this makes sense and that you guys have some thoughts on this? |

Just released J seats SFO-FRA in A380 for 5 July
title says it all really - just thought I'd post since there's not much J availability from SFO-Europe in early July. Might give a FTer a head start!! Seats currently showing on ANA

Trip isn't until December, so will have a while to wait to find out... For reference, the new routing below on the FRA to SIN has lots of economy availability in Dec thru Jan and some business availability too (according to ANA!) The ICC were not preferring this routing though instead wanting to transit via LHR (of course they want my business with BD not LH), after some 'polite' encouragement and helping provide the EDI-FRA-SIN connections, they were happy to oblige! Thanks to all on the board for the assistance, now to see whereelse I can meddle! Am I mad (or just overly optomistic?)
Have enough miles for a cash and miles business class redemption to NZ again thanks mainly to moving house and putting the stamp duty through on my BMI mastercard.
Am I completely crazy to think that I have any chance of getting a redemption around Christmas. I've looked on ANA and Thai have some avail for econ. so maybe I'm not completely mad? Anyone had any experaince/luck with this? Cheers |

I used the ANA tool to confirm 2 business class seats on CO95 from BFS-EWR on June 30th of which I stated 2 seats were available. However when I phoned up the DC call centre to book them, the agent said there are no seats available? Does this difference happen often, and which source is telling the truth? Thanks Woody |
