Can anyone tell me if I can book LHR-ICN-BKK with 80,000 miles (zones 1-7), instead of 70,000 (zones 1-8) + 30,000 (zones 7-8)?
Thanks, |

Or you can try Z1-Z2 and then Z2-Z8 via Z7 for less YQ and fewer miles.
|
Any chance for
Z4-Z1: EZE-JNB-CPT//-LHR Z4-Z9: EZE-FRA-NRT//-AKL Z7-Z7: DPS-SIN-BKK//-TPE-ICN-CEB Z8-Z7: NRT-ICN-CEB,MNL-SIN-DPS (surface segment in one-way) to be allowed? |

They seem to be very strict with routings. MNL-BKK-DPS or MNL-SIN-DPS.
MNL-BKK//BKK-SIN-DPS MNL-BKK-KUL//KUL-SIN-DPS Both an absolute no-go unless you use 2 awards. Not very happy :td:. Oh well, I guess my MNL-SIN-DPS is good enough for 7500+52.50+fuel fines that belong not to award tickets. :td: |

Maybe that will be accepted. |
If Star Alliance website doesn't return any results on GYD-CMB I suppose that would have to be 2 (or 3) tickets?

Does anyone have routing suggestions for a redemption for RAR-ROR? The only service Star Alliance to RAR is on NZ to AKL and LAX. The only service to ROR is on OZ from ICN of with CO to GUM, MNL or YAP.
Would something like RAR-AKL-NRT-ICN-ROR or RAR-AKL-HKG-GUM-ROR be accepted? Both of these greatly exceed IATA MPM on the route (7413 miles) but are relatively easy to piece together with award inventory. The most direct route that I can find is RAR-AKL-CNS-GUM-ROR but this one is hard to assemble because of limited service (i.e. non-daily) on some of those segments. As an aside, the BD award desk told me this morning that ROR is on Z8. Is this correct? |

would this be acceptable? the return will be easy (another OW) TAS-ICN-HND but ASB is a hard to get into spot... Look into connecting IST-GYD-ASB - a much nicer arrival time in Ashgabad I am also flying out of TAS - I would have loved to go OZ direct to ICN, but this is in August during Asiana blackout dates - so the ICC suggested TAS-IST-NRT-HNL. C 18750+cash Z8-Z11 I also added a stopover in Korea on the way without issues. |
I'm looking to get the other half from the UK to Korea via Dubai (where she'd need to leave the airport but not necessarily stay overnight), is there any good way to do this?
Options given future travel could be: UK-VIE/IST-DXB(so)-ICN or UK-VIE/IST-DXB(longish transit but <24 hours)-ICN(so)-HKG/HAN/BKK(etc.) Out of the UK, any of LON, BHX or even MAN could work. Probably too much to ask, but hopeful... |
Possible QR redemption?
Can I book a Qatar award as follows...
SEZ-DOH-MLE (destination)-DOH? If so, how many miles would this run? |

SEZ-DOH-MLE (destination)-DOH? If so, how many miles would this run? DOH-MLE-DOH will be fine at 25k econ 37.5k bus and 50k first SEZ-DOH is available for the same rates the flights seem to be costed as direct flights so don't think they do zone-zone so you would need 2 returns and throw away the last leg |
