I contacted DC, was meant to have been made upto silver, and the pack should have been sent out, taking about 2 weeks to arrive - but it isn't even reflecting in the online account yet and that was several days ago

Did you already fly your flight?

Had no response on email yet, but my flight is only in January.

Yes, I flew mine at the end of November.

Does one need to be invited to earn these status miles?

Nope. It's listed (with a link to the flybmi.com registration page) on the AMEX UK site under something like "Offers" then "Travel".

Actually getting the miles/silver would appear to be another question entirely..........

Thank you. It's quite hard finding out which routes bmi fly Premium Economy or business. Do the short haul fares qualify for this? I feel like that would be a waste and I'd prefer to do a Premium Economy out and Economy pack.

That is, if I have understood the fare class codes properly in the promotion!

You'd think that sort of information would be in the forum Sticky: READ THIS FIRST; not that anyone bothers to read that anyway.

Steady on! My comment was related more to the route cancellations reducing the availability of business and premium economy.

Yes, but you didn't mention that. He's not psychic

Anyway, hopefully the sticky link was useful. Basically there is only Premium Economy on two routes (TLV and CAI). TLV is being scrapped and CAI is going back to a 2 class plane.

For the other routes, the availability of business cabins remains the same as long as it isn't a route being pulled.

And yes, the short-haul fares qualify for this. No eyebrow was raised at my qualifying sector being LHR-EDI anyway.

That's good to hear. Questions if I may:

1. Did you have to chase it up at any point?
2. Have you flown on the relevant booking? And if so, when?

Well myself & the SO booked 1st Nov and as we are already Gold should be getting points! However, no points have appeared yet but the flight isn't until first week of Jan.

Did you have to chase it up?

I did chase it up with Amex Travel Service, BMI told them it would post eventually, but due to staff shortages etc...

I only flew my booking on Saturday, LHR - BRU - LHR, so pack must have been in post tail end of last week.
