Edit: WARNING: DO NOT use Avis C03___9 AWD discount code anymore. I got a very reliable confirmation from an inside guy that this code is black listed now. Effective immedately, all benfits associated with code are removed(including free LDW insurance), anyone use this code will pay maxiumum rack rate regardless of reservation or website showing rate as well as company ID must be produced. A warning flag has been raised on this AWD and most likely you will be questioned about where you got the code. All in all, this code is nothing but trouble from now on. Oh well, it was great while it lasted. |

Less than 20% off is hardly a good deal when the starting price is - by historical standards hereabouts - ridiculously high. |
My test of a San Diego code is the price for a one way car rental from CLD to LAX. The best I've found to date is A074800.

Shareholders code
I have heard about a sharholders code that gives you up to 50% off any booking anywhere!
Does anyone know anything about it? |
wow, if there was a shareholder coupon I would be aLL over that!

Be careful. I think that is an Avis employee code. I heard people have problems with those A codes. They do give great rates but what happens when you get there and they ask for proof of employment? Rob |
My notes say A074800 is the Citicorp Leisure Travel rate.

What about AWD D005927? Do we know what that's associated with and whether proof of ID is required? It's helped me secure a good rate in France.
Thanks! |

Scorned One
Hi everyone, I am new here. Enjoyed reading some of the many posts around.
I must say, be careful about which codes you use. Do not use A153700. You won't get it. Don't use any Ernst & Young codes either. They will check. B999900 is always good, it's for anyone. Any questions, feel free to ask... |
I do not know to with which organisation this code is associated but D005927 is a safe code as I use it all the time with absolutely no questions asked. On top of that it gives me the best rates of all the codes I tried in the Netherlands and Denmark. This is a 40% discount on their normal rates by the way. Enjoy this great AWD code

Anyone had any experiences with A6791000? It's the Hawaii State Bar discount code, so probably not as risky as an employee discount, but I still want to know if anyone's tried it and gotten shot down. Especially since I can get the same rate with C031529. Thanks!

For a two day, midweek, rental of an intermed. vehicle at IAH, the following AWD codes gave the base rates indicated below:
A674600 $108.80 D005927 $147.98 C031529 $114.00 A074800 $ 74.00 B999900 $129.90 So, YMMV! I was surprised that D005927 was so high. As others have indicated, it gives the best rates of any code in Europe. |
