Very nice :)

I certainly have no complaints! By the way, the SRX is a very nice vehicle, even though it drives as a bit more of a truck then you would think it would, considering its' size.

Update:

I was getting the error message noted above. I logged into my Avis account and changed My Preferences to show A972200 as my AWD. Now when I retrieve my reservations I do not get the error message. And I does not matter if I search for my reservation logged in to my account or not.

Hopefully this is the solution and this great code will continue to work.

I just used the code to make a weekend reservation in June (without logging in) and it seems to work fine. I tried to bring up my reservation on avis.com using the reservation number and everything seems to be in order as well.

I just used A113400 for pickup at DCA, with no complications whatsoever. GREAT RATE, $24.00 per day, plus taxes and fees, $99.31, all in, for a three day rental, pick up Friday noon, drop off Monday noon. (Chairman's Club upgrade from mid-size to Cadillac SRX4 luxury suv, with pre-installed GPS.)

Just as a note. I was over at Hertz for the same dates. $43 for 3 days with AAA rate and their $10/day coupon for a compact. At IAD this would have been only $30. However, no Charman's upgrade. :D

You are saying that at Hertz, for a rental at DCA, pick up on April 1, drop off on April 4, that you rented a compact car for $43, less a $10 coupon, reflecting $33 all in for a three day weekend rental?

The Netjets code DID NOT work for pickup in MUC: got asked for a "Chairman's Club" card, since I didn't have it, she found me an alternate, "local", rate which was claimed to include insurance. Daily rate was slightly higher but overall not TOO different (about 190 Euros for a full size).

Ended up paying 335 euros when dropping off the car - 120E for half a tank of gas (!) and 45E of insurance which was supposedly included. What a scam (though I suppose I am loath to complain seeing as I was trying to use an Internet code, heh). At least I had a Jag.

There is nothing wrong or illegal with using MOST Internet codes, only SOME. NetJet AWD number is one of those codes which is restricted. I am one of the people who has warned against using K444404, but still, people persist in using a code which will more than likely get them into trouble. I have a Chairman's Club card, and was sponsored by NetJets, and even I do not use that AWD number anymore, I use a different, Avis approved NetJet AWD.

Indeed - and fair enough, admittedly, I used the NetJets code without really reading TOO much into it - I should have figured that when it gave me a ridiculously low price I should have researched a bit more. I did not see any warnings posted, but then again, I hardly spent enough time reading about it.

Sadly, Sixt would have matched that price had I prepaid my reservation - so live and learn, I suppose. :) At least the roads were ultra-nice.

That NetJets AWD number, K444404, has been so widely disseminated, and so widely abused and misused, that Avis has set it for flagging on all reservations, and issued two new AWD numbers to replace it.

:D noted for future reference, thx. I suppose I should rather stick to my pedestrian numbers.

Even I don't use K444404 anymore, and I am entitled to use it! It is just not worth the trouble, and I have the replacement numbers now.

And what company or association is X846850 tied to please?

Hi Andy, you say there is a NEW Avis approved NetJets code. Can you share that or PM me with it. I've mostly been using the Citi AWD for the best rates. I'd like to check that rate for my upcoming trip to MUC. (AND, as you know, I do have a Chairman's Card:cool:)

No wonder you are irritated.

I wasn't complaining.

I was pointing out the island air code isn't competitive, as it was over $700.

One confirmation that this code works well. Any others? Thanks in advance.

By the way, the Island Air code (D802300) was not competitive for the time I wanted. Base rate $738 for 16 days in September. $346 with A679100 (16 days). My corp rate is about $560.

It seemed like you were complaining, otherwise, why ask for "any others?"

And for the record, I am not irritated by lots of things, my name refers to being irritated by USAirways only.
