I have 10 rentals credited to BA during the promo period and none of them have included the double miles. Each rental included the MUAA013 coupon code for double miles and my BA number. I checked the promo information to see if there is a delayed posting date for the bonus miles but did not notice anything. Is anyone else in the same boat? Is this a BA or an Avis issue?
Thanks,

I have the same problem, on two rentals.
Spoke with someone at Avis about a month ago, they said unless you showed your card and asked at the counter you won't get the bonus miles . But she would request them for me, I received the first 500 each, but no bonus.
Called Avis today, today the story is We(Avis), did our part, British Airways has to post the bonus of 500 each.
So who knows....
I get so tired of this chasing the bonus miles, they always come out with these wonderful promos, but make it hell to actually collect.
I'll try calling again in a few days.... and see what Avis says.
Marvella.

1. What card? BA never sent me a card. All I have is the Executive Club number itself. And Avis already has that on my reservation that I make online.Originally Posted by Marvella

2. What's a counter?
What I mean is, for Avis Preferred, in many locations, you see your name on the board (or the driver gets your name in the van) and go directly to the car, so there's no such thing involved as a counter stop at which you talk to someone (the only people you talk to are the van driver, if there's a van, and the person at the exit gate; the contract's waiting in your car ahread of time).Anyway, for my case these are rhetorical questions, as I only had a chance to do one car rental during the Twice The Love period, did it using Avis Preferred and thus was never at any counter, and the bonus 500 miles showed up as I recall at the same time as the base 500 miles. They showed up thusly on my BA online statement:
03-Jun-04 Car Hire - AVIS MINNEAPOLIS ST.PAUL 0 500
Car Hire 0 500
(Note that there's no mention of a bonus in the explanation; it simply showed up as a double entry for 500 miles each, the second one not naming the location.)

I mssed a couple of "twice the love" bonus opportunities but did manage to get them to double one of my coupons. After asking I was told that I *HAD* to stop at the counter and ask for this as there was no way to do this otherwise. So, I bypassed the counter, got to my car, took my paperwork to the counter and handed them my $15 off coupon with a request to double it. Upon my return they had not doubled it so I had to go *back* to the counter while they figured it out. IMHO this promo was not implemented very well at all.Originally Posted by Stefan Daystrom

If anyone is still missing the bonus miles for BA, here is what Avis told me: BA was not part of the "Twice the Love" promotion. Avis is aware that BA appeared on the list, but that was a mistake. They are not able to post the additional 500 miles to BA, or so they say. However, they will compensate you in some other way, like a coupon toward your next rental, etc.
