I used a Budget convention code I found on ebates (dot com) and I got it for $307 taxes in. This is for a Ford Mustang (I HOPE... the or similar could be something else!).

Anyways, try these BCD's- for meetings/business travel, so anyone can use them!

BCD U071101 (one I used, for meetins/conventions)
S190554 - "save up to 25% off for business travel!"

Hope that helps someone

***EDIT - I just tried codes for Canadian government, union code in prev post, and Budget employee- the code above beats ALL of them. If you find a cheaper rate, let me know :) Unfortunately, I'm set on a convertible (Hopefully mustang!!) for the week.

I just used BCD U071101 and it gave me the cheapest rate of all the codes I could find. Thanks!

did this code need anything for verification when you picked up the car?

The same doubt here, could anybody verify that? Thanks

Deals or Discounts with Budget in FIJI

Dear all,

Are there any current discounts/promotions or coupons for a 9 day car rental in Fiji with Budget?
I tried searching on this forum but was not able to find any.

Many thanks,

Raj

Does anyone know how exact the "free weekend day" coupons work? I know it doesn't get applied until you return the car, but the coupon requires a 3 day rental. So, what happens if I return my car at 2 Days 22 hours even if I reserved for the full 3 days? Can they somehow opt-out of honoring my coupon? Thanks!

Doubtful you will find "9 day" or "Fiji" specific codes on this or any other site.

Look for "weekly" discounts ... they may be your best bet. 9 days falls between one and two weeks so rates may not be so good.

Did you try BCD U071101? Seems to be a very good all round code.

FWIW (my personal experience) very few BCDs actually reduce rates outside North America or Europe. Blame it on the franchisees. And if you get an artificially low rate, they may actually refuse to honor it ... had to dispute it(and win) with my credit card agency in USA.

Have you chatted up anyone at the local agency? Or anyone in Fiji's large Indian community?

i have tried many bcd codes yet i found Z619843 to be generally cheaper or just as cheap as any other bcd

Can anyone tell me whether the Entertainment book coupon TUGZ511 (free day on weekly) is applied to my online res price or do they do it in the office on pickup of car? I'm finding conflicting info on budget website regarding coupons. Also, I'm assuming I cannot use BCD other than X443034 with that? U023823 gives me a better rate (if coupon was already taken into account using Entertainment BCD/coupon code). Thanks!

That would be incorrect. Just about every coupon and BCD code IS interchangeable and allowed UNLESS specified otherwise in the rules for a promotion or coupon. (Even then, we all know that's questionable, as in the delta budget/avis beaucoup miles promos of late :p).

Another code - Z780299. Supposedly gives you 5-10% off just any size rental at about any location.

rustyr Sep 4, 2008 10:58 am

entertainment 50/50 offer

The new entertainment books list an offer from Budget in celebration of their 50th anniversary. The one I like is 50% off weekly rental, the BCD number is X443036. Do you think I could use this instead of the UO72500 BCN for the 8500 miles offer from Continental, which must be booked on their website? The rate is about $40 cheaper if I use the entertainment code. Entertainment # has limitations of which I can qualify for; tried linking to but only gives a blank page. Offer good til Nov 20. Must show proof of enterainment membership at time of rental.

AAA Discount Code

Is there one for Budget?

Mrp Alert Sep 8, 2008 2:18 am

Hertz is AAA present preferred rental provider.

up to $20 off w/e rental

I know this may sound elementary, but after searching for over an hour for a good code for my budget rental I found this one on the specials tab of the budget website "$20-off deal" BCD Y620700
It was actually the best deal I could find and I tried all the BCD codes here. I got a 2 day rental for $39.99 compact (which was actually only $10 off not 20, but hey I'm happy!)

Bcd

Why not book the DL/Budget special and obtain 20percent off AND 7500 DL Skymiles?

beckoa Sep 16, 2008 2:53 am

Reporting success w/ U071101 BCD

$20 w/o tax was the rate... vs. $60 w/o code

Routing PUW-PSC

Thanks FT:D

And since I didn't sign initially for the $25 underage fee... it was waived as much as possible... 19.99 (since the car was only $20)

anything for Paris?

I'm doing slightly better for a Budget rental in Paris through www.rentalcargroup.com right now than through Budget website. None of these BCD codes seem to work there. Anything else to try to get price down?

This knocked a 3 day one way rental from $356 to $141. The catch is that it's $.45/mile instead of unlimited, but I still come out around $100 ahead.

I also had success with this code. Thanks a lot.
One question: When I show up at the counter with my reservation, will they ask me to show some kind proof that I am entitled to this discount? I'm not an employee of the government or anything.

Cheers,
Chepe

No questions asked when using that particular code... they asked how I got such a great deal... and told them the truth- I found it online :D

FYI... I don't think that's a govt rate or anything... I think it was posted in this tread it was for a conference in Florida or something...

great. thanks for answering beckoa.

Anyone have a decent code for a cheap SUV rental, one day midweek? Hoping for something I won't have to go to great lengths to use since it's a city location that might check more prudently. Also something that negates the underage surcharge in Canada would be cool too. Thanks!

Do you know the source of this code (s190003)? I got a pretty good rate, but don't want to get stuck. Were you required to show any IDs? TIA.

Here is my USAA code for Budget

USAA is my insurance company and I do not have the supposed ID card they say because I am a memeber and I have never gotten one so do not worry about them asking...I used it before and they never ask

Y126501

Enjoy it...very cheap rates I hope:):)

Sam - DFW Nov 23, 2008 2:10 pm

first of all, i am looking at one week in mexico (CUN).

i tried several of the BCD codes listed, but the rate was the same as when i went to budget.com as an anonymous user and got the "quoted" rate.

am i doing something wrong? or do BCD codes not work at international locations?

also, AA has a coupon code MUAZ084, but it does not work in the BCD field.

can someone give me a little insight how i can save money on a weekly car in CUN?

thanks in advance.

mad_atta Nov 24, 2008 6:40 pm

s190003

Has anyone else successfully used s190003? Or can anyone vouch for its origin? It gives a good rate for an SUV rental ex-NYC over Christmas but it would be reassuring to hear that more than one person has used it :)

pnoeric Nov 29, 2008 9:55 am

FWIW I just sat at budget.com and plugged in at least 10 coupon codes (their site makes it fast and easy to do so)... none of the coupons affected the price EXCEPT the USAA code, Y126501.

I'm checking rates at a suburbs location in Kansas City (610 W 103rd St) for a weekend rental, FYI.

Incidentally, I am actually a USAA member and don't have a membership card to show for it. If they give me any hassle at the counter, I'll ask them to call USAA and they'll verify my membership over the phone.

Good luck...

best
Eric

Are there any codes that will get me a discount for a 7 day rental in DXB?

updaze Dec 4, 2008 5:12 am

Budget is the worst in awarding Delta Miles and/or its coffee

I HATE BUDGET!...Every rep I have talked to either doesn't have a clue about available offers, or they are brusque, and brush me off when I try to get my miles credited, or trips credited, or to even award me their damned Dunkin Donut coffee....The only reason I use them now is to get points also through MYPOINT.COM, an advertising protal I strongly recommend....Sincerely!

I love Budget!

I used the code mentioned above (BCD U071101) and my weekly rental went from $337 to $192. I also use the Fastbreak card so that there is no wait at the counter.

Does not seem to work to International rentals.

Did an intense research of codes for Budget & everyone else and aside from one code via another company the one above was the best ...^^

If you're looking for an SUV, the code above seemed to work the best out of most airport sites. I myself was looking for a car at BWI,EWR and Philly.
Y126501 now my back up reservation incase my deal at National go's south.

ati2d Dec 4, 2008 12:41 pm

Does anyone know of a coupon code for Budget that will work at BNE (Braisbane, Australia)?
I've tried a few & none seem to be accepted so far.
Thank you!

jerriblank55 Dec 21, 2008 11:34 pm

wow, s190003 gives quite a discount. I'm trying to rent an SUV, but I'm only 22, and they say in the fine print you must be 25 to rent SUVs, Minivans, convertibles, etc.

Any way to get around this?

Has anyone successfully used this code yet besides bbd? I have a vehicle booked for a week from tomorrow using it, and I'm starting to get a little nervous given the lack of information about it.

bbd if you have any more information about the source of that code it would be much appreciated - given that it's holiday season and SUVs ex-NYC are as scarce as hen's teeth, I don't really have any backup plan so I need to maximise my chance of getting the quoted rate!

thanks :)

jerriblank55 Dec 22, 2008 10:58 pm

I just realized that when using the above code, you don't get unlimited miles. They bill at $.45/mile...no thanks!! I'm driving from Boston to DC.

mad_atta Dec 23, 2008 6:35 am

The booking I have using that code gets unlimited mileage, though I know others have sometimes found the same problem that you describe.
