BCD U204720 or S190003 is same?
I looked at both codes today for December 22-29 8-day rental and the final price is the same. Does any of the codes requires proof?
|
I know that U204720 does not require proof or ID

Legit BCD
100% legit BCD from Vacation Outlet can be found here:
http://www.vacationoutlet.com/promot...al/default.asp Just click on Budget and it will bring up the a Budget rental page with "Welcome Vacation Outlet Travelers" accross the top of the page, you can click on "Rent Now", it will pre fill in the BCD (most of the time) and get deals that I found matched or beat every other BCD accept Cosco, which was around $3 less, but you don't need a card or membership with Vacation Outlet. With this option the coupon code box is open to enter a coupon code also should you have one. Or you can scroll down and get other deals like an additional $25 off weekly rates (at least right now) in addition to the low rate for the Vacation Outlet BCD, again pre filling in the BCD AND the coupon code. You can also enter the codes directly into Budgets normal rental page and get the same deals, it works, most of the time, but I prefer to go through Vaction Outlet. You can use your RapidRez with the reservation. I have noticed that some times there is a glitch and the discounts don't come up, just close the page and click the Vacation Outlet buttton for Budget again, if all else fails, try clearing your browser history and then try again. I also found that you can enter the BCD into your RapidRez, with this option you can go to Budgets normal rental page and try different BCD's, when the car choices come up you will see the BCD towards the top of the page and right next to it a hyperlink for the BCD entered into your RapidRez, you can toggle between the two BCD's by clicking on the hyperlink, the rental fee differences, if there are any, will change depending on the hyperlink chosen. Also, on the normal Budget page click on the "more options" hyperlink to enter BCD and coupon codes should they not be displayed. Sometimes I have found that playing with reservations on the sight I get stuck on a page with no "more options" displayed, just delete everything in the URL but www.budget.com and try again. Also try the Car Rental tab and choose "make car reservation" if you find that the "more options" link isn't displaying. Side note: I made a reservation that was cheaper than Coscos a couple of weeks ago (by a couple of dollars), when I tried to modify it to add the coupon I got the current quote, which is less than $5 more than my previous quote. I called CS to see if they could add the coupon to the reservation without my price going up, they got the same result, but reminded me that I would be getting $25 off. So, for a $20 additional saving over my original reservation I decided to go for it. When I accepted the changes it gave me back my original quote with the coupon attached to the reservation. So, I should get a compact car for a week for $141 plus an additional $25 off. Oh and did I mention this is on a one way rental from the airport and dropping off at a different location in the same city!!!! Thank you Budget, exactly what I need!!!! One thing I did discover is if you are going to be picking it up at the airport in one city and dropping off at an airport at a different city, but need a rental car for more time than just the drive between the two citys, dump the one way rental as quick as you can and rent another one (this will save you hundreds, long distance one way rentals are expensive), but be carefull, some airport rental agencies may not rent to you unless you actually arrived on a plane at that airport, just check it out first. I'll let you know how Budget treats me on this rental. For weekend rentals in town I find no one beats Enterprise at 9.99, but they only allow you 100 miles per day for the rental and most places you can't bring it back on Sundays, their closed. And they also close early on Fridays. But if you can pick it up before 3:00 on Friday (or noon on Saturday) and get it back before 3:00 on Monday (or what ever time you picked it up at) a $30 rental (or $20 for Saturday pickup), and don't need more than a 100 miles average per a day it is geat for the price. Vacation Outlet also has great prices for Alamo, Avis, Dollar and National. Alamo rates were right with Budget, but would have to bring it back to the airport and I didn't want to do that. I also noticed VroomVroomVroom.com had prices even cheaper for some rental compaines and beat Vaction Outlet for the very cheapest airport pickup, but not for a one way same city rental. One word of warning, I have heard that with FastBreak you don't get the actual contract, everything is on file, should you be using your credit card for the damage coverage and not purchasing CDW/LDW you will need a copy of a signed rental agreement, so don't go with FastBreak if you are depending on your CC coverage. |
Wrong about VroomVroomVroom being cheaper
I was wrong about the VroomVroomVroom.com price being cheaper, the actual difference was for the paticular rental agency I booked the car at I chose to bring it back a half hour earlier than the full 24 hour period for the last day of the reservation, that alone dropped the price. It seems to work for more than one of them, sometimes.
i.e. I reserved a G6 from Alamo through Vacation Outlet. I chose the $50 off a weekly rental special for January. For the dates I chose a week they happend to have a special on the G6, it was actualy the cheapest of all the cars they offered. Then the $50 was subtracted from the price. By bringing the car back one half hour earlier for the week the base price was actually $30 cheaper. So I have a G6 for 6 days, 23 hours and 30 minutes for $132. I also have noticed that with Budget you can get the same price by pre paying as you get by using the good BCD's, no differnce in price for doing both. |
fwiw, my experience...
with respect to your quote that appears below... I rented a car using my FastBreak, the windshield cracked, I used my CC coverage, and had no problem.

S208200 gave me almost 50% off a one day rental at STL.

Anyone familiar with any underage discount codes?
|
Avis and Budget typically are not so eager for the underage business. Good luck unearthing the codes, the few that exist relative to the other companies.

BTW why do you think other rental agencies are easier with the underage? |
Avis/Budget used to disallow retail underage rentals, and added a $35/day underage fee in many places after Hertz's coupon was introduced to at least pretend to be competitive. Hertz, Enterprise, and National/Alamo allowed it. Before the Hertz retail underage fee waivers, those others were thought to be the most friendly because one could select to add the fee at reservation booking time. Others have said that more corporate codes waive the underage fee with Hertz and National than Avis/Budget.

I found one reliable underage code for avis and budget, which gives very good rates, wasn't so hard.
Are you able to share it? Is it a publicly available retail rate, or contract code belonging to an association that almost anyone can join? Or is this something through a negotiated corporate contract that is not publicly available? |
Anyone has used the V053900 Govt Leisure lately?
I have used it a few times couple years ago until it suddenly quit working. Now I am in the hunt for a good code to use for Hawaii and come upon V673016 (dont know the origin) and V053900 works again For a weekly rental March 7 to 14 at KOA, V673016 is 258xx all in. Rate code 7G, maximum 120 days rental. V053900 is 227xx all in. Rate code CG, minimum rental 4 days 3 hours maximum 30 days. I know in the past V053900 does not earn miles and it does show on the reservation as Govt Leisure. I have no idea where V673016 comes from. UPDATE for Future Reference! Go through IslandAir portal, the prefilled BCD brought the rate down to the equivalent of Avis rate when using Hawaii Bar Association code. |

The budget code i found is z619843 and the avis code i found is z652297, they both seem to be the same public retail rate (just one for budget and one for avis) Happy Holidays! |
A Google search says these belong to a corporation called BMG, which distributes baby care products.
