Thank you, NJUPINTHEAIR, but I'm afraid that I can't get the coupon MUWZ145 to stick all the way through to the last page for Santa Barbara next week. But I am happy with the Costco BCD W852800 and coupon MUGZ009, which will bring an Economy car for a week to $157.61, a/i, and then $30 will come off that. I hope. It's a tough call trading away the DL 5,000 mi. for this rate.

I used the following for an upcoming Florida rental and it gave me a better rate than the above. Also for a weekly rate, I was able to use the following coupon for an additonal $30 off.

YMMV.

Hi all!

I'm trying to rent a car at RDU (raleigh), dec 1st to dec 4th, 3 full days.
Right now the cheapest I get is an economy car for $140.00 with BCD U024100.

EDIT: Cross that, it's $170.00 with taxes. Wow!

This is still very expensive!!! Any ideas?

I just made a reservation for a 4 day minivan at MCO in february. The regular rate was 336 + tax, but i used the code X797726 mentioned a few post back and the rate dropped to 196 + tax. A huge discount. I tried the Costco W852800 but the X797726 gave me a better rate. im using the MUAZ036 that give me triple miles on UA, but i wish a better coupon, anyone know it?

BCD Code X797726 is pretty amazing. It dropped a one way from Miami to Fort Lauderdale on Christmas Eve from $114 to $28. Does anyone know what company/entity this code is for?

BCD Code X797726 worked 12/2009

Thank you all soooo much! Hubby was flying to Miami to meet up with us vacationing in Ft Lauderdale 12/23/09 & my car broke down so couldn't get to airport. Last minute economy cars picked up at Miami returned to same location next day ranged from $112 - 128. I found this code and used it with no problem. My rate was $42 with taxes etc and returned it to Ft lauderdale airport! No questions upon pickup - hassle free and huge savings!

Thanks everyone. Happy New Year!

Anyone know of any codes that work in St. Thomas (STT)?
Trying to book fora 2 week period, and various BCD codes are accepted by the system but there is no change to the actual price.

Best rental option from FLL to EYW?

Guys - just found out about this forum and love it.

I am planning a bachelor party the first weekend in march, and am not sure what car rental option to choose.. We need to get 5 guys (meaning suvfrom FLL to EYW and back Mar. 5-8.

I am torn between doing 2 one way rentals from FLL to EYW and back, or doing a 4 day rental. From what I've heard, its not worth having a car in Key West - roads are narrows, cops are strict on DUI, and no parking...

Any good offers anyone knows of that could make one option way more affordable than the other?

Thanks

many thanks to this forum...

I tried a ton of combos for a 4x4 today, and used a BCD that USAA gave me on their site:
BCD Y126511
together with
coupon #MUGZ009
$170-$30 = $140 for 5 days 4x4 in Northern California

AMAZING deal, it wound up being $60 less for a 5 day rental than the Costco BCD above.

I am a USAA member, but I don't see how they can verify @ the counter as we aren't given any member card etc.

I only need the car for 4 days, but for whatever reason renting it for 5 days versus 4 was much cheaper, as it probably switched to a weekly rate.

I would be interested in knowing if you can use this USAA BCD code. I just made a reservation for February and it saved my over $250. However, I am not a member of USAA. I do have a government ID though.

Welcome to FlyerTalk, bwparker1!

Unclear what your question is, beyond the answer you give in this post -- e.g., that it worked.

And Sluggo858, welcome to FlyerTalk! Beware of turning the car in at four days.

Anyone have any experience using this code. Seems to return a big discount but no idea if it requires ID or anything. It's from a Consierge website in Hawaii.

I don't know what's gping on with Budget codes not working all that well . The best price I got for 5 days in April in Tampa is paying up front.

Well, the code (x797726) worked - no questions although the agent did remark that it was a great rate for this time of year. Got into Orlando at 10:00 am Sunday the 29th.

The problem though was the line/wait time at the counter - every other company counter was staffed and moving quickly, but Budget had only 2, occasionally 3, agents working and I was about 11-12 people deep in line. It took 75 minutes from the time I entered the line to actually get into the right vehicle (Budget is in the garage across the walkway, so it isn't like I had to take a shuttle either). When I finally got through the counter line they didn't have the right car ready so I had to wait extra, even though I had reserved the standard SUV - it isn't like I changed once I talked to the agent.

My family, who had been down there a few days ahead of me, had to wait all that extra time too for me to pick them up and it put everything a hour+ behind schedule.

If I had known it would take that long I would have gone with my backup Avis reservation. I'm back to National or Avis or anything but Budget after that ludicrous wait time.

Im picking up a car at the MCO budget next week. We have never waited more than 5 minutes.

Just by being a member of their frequent renter program you can just bypass the desk at the terminal and go straight to the garage.

Reservations with expired codes?

I have a reservation for Feb that I made in Dec using BCD X797726. Got an excellent quote for my one way rental. Now I am reading that the code isn't working. If it is expired will they honor the rate I used in Dec when i pick the car up in Feb?
