When I inquired about Chairman and President I was told the main diffrence with Selcet is gauranted car when sold out.
The two other than that are the same and offer no other benifits over Select. If true it is little value. I had heard otherwise years ago but not anylonger.

Ha. No way. Don't believe them. Do a search in this forum and you will find out what the benefits are of PCM and Chairmans.

I asked about this last year.. and was told that i needed 9 rentals...after i got the 10th rental...i called again...and was told that the Select program has been terminated.
Then a letter from them came a few months back and it stated that I was upgraded to Preferred Select.
I have no clue as to the perks of being "select"...and asking the CSRs would lead to no conclusion either...

I have been Preferred Select for about two years and have seen absolutely no benefit to it whatsoever. It's certainly not worth any time and effort to attain it as far as I can see as I can't tell any difference from when I was just plain Preferred.

FYI, Starwood Platinums get comped Preferred Select. Just call the platinum line and ask about it. They'll give you a code and a number to call at Avis. I had to ask the Avis CSR to talk to her supervisor about it, though, because she was clueless. Supervisor transferred me to another department that took about 15 seconds to do it.
Now, we'll see if it gets me anything. Not expecting much given the comments here.
