Any luck with the famous fruit? Havent bothered searching that in a while.

Yes, neighbouring countries work well too.
Fruit is great visa-wise. Some of the others are slightly more complicated.

NH F C3-C2 for 66k... I'll take some complications :D

starting in the same region you can do it at that price without any complications

With the recent changes LM gave us a new chance to do better than last time. I know that some won't agree, but even coded routes shouldn't be posted here anymore.

oziman Jan 21, 2016 6:38 am

Man, does anyone know when they will do 2x1? I skipped the last one but this is too good to be true.

I am sure it will be soon.

Did anyone noticed the annoying captcha? :( Got it a few times while clicking next on calendar!!

One the other hand - LH F long haul is wide open from C3 to famous f.

oh by the way - hi!

TheBOSman Jan 21, 2016 11:36 am

Website down for anyone else? :D

NVM it is back up. More reliable than UA.bomb which hasn't worked for award searches for days .

Can someone explain why the new mixed cabin scheme is superior to the previous system?

Sure, it gives additional flexibility and a greater range of destinations, but it also prevents booking C3-C2-C1 F fares because the C2-C1 leg will be in J or Y.

Wherever you see a mixed fare now, you wouldn't have seen any availability two days ago. You decide what's superior.

How does it do that? I've seen fares like you mention show up already. You'll have to pay the F price, but if F is available on all legs you can book it just as easily. I've seen C3-C2-C1 all F flights.

Booked J-J-X, also confirmed on the LM booking confirmation page after booking.
In addition I have screenshots of all steps of this booking.

CMT and the operating airline show: J-X-X.

First and second segment are on OS. I will not call LM until the party is over.

Does anybody have the same problem?

Edit: X...eco, I=business

Mixed itinerary itself is a new feature of the program so I don't think there are any issues with calling LM in that case. Unless your actual itinerary is a trick.

I just got rid of all my lifemiles about 3 days ago.

I feel like I have bad timing.

To be fair, it would be quite easy to get legitimately completely stuck in traffic on the M25 :D.

Cancel your itinerary? USD $50.

Does anyone know how long LM "holds" tickets in their system? I was all the way at the payment page but had to go back to make some changes, only to find out that the seats are no longer available. I'm going to assume this is because they are "held" by LM somehow.

They only hold the seats once you put your cc details in and press submit and not before that.

Unless something has changed from before, which I doubt, then this is incorrect.

They used to hold seats right AT the credit card page - so if you got to the CC page and, say, your computer fell apart, then your seats were blocked for a few days. And since you didn't have a PNR to quote, cancelling them was hard. But you were always able to call their support centre and tell them the specific flight + names and they could release the space.

mlqsko Jan 22, 2016 2:40 am

I hope they upgraded their web servers :D

WolfvanWeen Jan 22, 2016 2:51 am

CA gone from Menu?

Did I overlook something? I can't see China Airlines anymore in the "Preferred Carrier" selection list.

I'm normally not pedantic, and only am here for a good reason so don't take it personally WvW :).

You'll likely never find China Airlines, they're a Taiwan-based carrier in Skyteam ;).

And I personally wouldn't fly China Airlines at all. Air China I would be willing to if it got me to where I wanted to go. But not China Airlines.

Million dollar question - what's the cheapest in terms of miles LH F you've found yet? :D

Examine chart+know your LH F routes+basic logic+basic math. I don't even know what it is offhand, but I bet I could figure it out in half an hour (most of which would be spent trying to line up the award space to make sure it actually worked).

montezume Jan 22, 2016 8:32 am
