Just booked a mileage ticket from United which includes HKG-ICN on May 18 on the A359.

So the schedules people posting are not 100% accurate I guess. Or OZ is deciding to sub in A359s on short turns when possible.

I found this thread hoping to find a seat map so I had an idea where to sit. I had no idea the planes would only have been flying for 3 days by the time I ride in one. Will be my first A350 ride after TG swapped two of them on my last trip for crappy 777s.

I believe it's a slot issue out of SIN since there's a considerable european and asian domestic rush between 2300 and 0200. It would be perfect if they had KE's 0110 slot. It would make for a 2 hour layover to continue onwards to JFK and 3 hours to LAX. Do they have a codeshare with SQ on the route? SQ also departs SIN at 0010 giving for a more interesting connecting time in ICN.

Interestingly OZ754 (currently the 3x weekly 0230 departure) used to depart at 0130 last year and before that — flew it once and the rest of the airport was deserted at that time, so don't think it's a slot issue — so it's interesting that they've shifted the flight an hour later.

Also even with the 0230 departure and 1030 arrival it's still a 4 hour connection to LAX (and 6 hours to SFO)...

OZ's scheduling gaps are generally a consequence of not enough aircraft.

For example, the awful six hour connection BKK-ICN-SFO is a result of OZ having the aircraft that operates their single daily flight ICN-BKK do an immediate turn at BKK.

Looks like our OZ704 flight in Js will be on the A350. But aeroplan website indicates no meal available?

OZ702 flight on an B777 do have meals indicated.
