Just wanted to add my experience. I flew LAX-ICN-CTU on a UA F award with LAX-ICN in F and ICN-CTU in C (no F available). When checking into the OZ C lounge in ICN, I asked if I would be allowed to use the F lounge since I was coming in on F and the departing flight only had C, but was told I could not. I only had a short layover, so I didn't try to press the issue.

The other operative phrase is "same day boarding pass" not "24 hours", so even if you left NYC or LAX and flew directly to ICN, you'd not have a "same day" F boarding pass. Nor would you have one if flying from Europe.

Having said this, sometimes airlines will regard a boarding pass from the previous day as "same day" if the flight landed this morning. Its not in the rules of course.

Wife and Child

I know that FC lounge at ICN (satellite) allows one guest.

Has any had the experience of trying to bring in their wife and child? Will they make an exception for the child?
