Non-Rev transfer at EZE
Flying in to EZE from SCL (paid flight on LAN) to catch (hopefully) a non-rev connection (on Delta) to JFK.
We'll be taking carry on luggage to minimize transfer issues, since we wouldn't be able to check the luggage through to JFK from SCL.
Is it possible to go between LAN and Delta without going through immigration?
I don't believe we would be responsible for the departure tax in this situation, is that correct?

That would be correct, except I don't know what happens to you if you can't get out of EZE. Somehow you'd have to be escorted down to the arrivals/immigration and then, enter Argentina, and then pay when you go back.
For LA to DL, just follow the flight connections signs, and you go through a quick x-ray screen and back to the departures area. I don't know who can help you in the departure area for a DL flight if no one is yet there. I don't even know if there is a lounge for people with DL lounge access @ EZE where you might be able to get post-security/exit migration help before the DL gate is manned. You might want to ask that in the DL forum.

Not concerned about lounge access. We only have 2hrs between arrival and departure, so I want to make sure:
1) We won't have to mess with immigration
2) The GA will be able to check us in.

In order to check in for the Delta flight as a non-revenue passenger you will have to clear immigration and customs and then proceed to the Delta check-in counter. You will also have to pay the departure tax. Then you only go to the gate after you get the boarding pass at the check-in counter. Not the answer you were hoping for but the way it works there. Note that sometimes even with seats available non-revs do not make it because of weight restrictions due to heavy cargo loads and high temps. The good news is that after the JFK flight you get another shot on the Atlanta flight which leaves later. Good luck.

Thank you for answering my question.
Just to follow up - if I am coming in on a LAN international flight (i.e. from SCL) and not leaving the terminal and going directly to the DL gate. At which point will I encounter customs?
Thanks again, personal experience is always very helpful.

He is going right back up to the international departures area to the DL gate. He is not going out to DL check-in. Customs is AFTER immigration, and he is never making it that far.

Read his initial message. He is trying to get on the Delta flight as a non-rev passenger. Delta requires him to check in at the departure desk. They will not check him him for the flight at the gate. Therefore he must go through immigration.
A passenger with a regular ticket could avoid this.

Personal experience.
Those are Delta's rules and I realize that rules may be bent or adjusted. The OP should ask if he can bypass the check in counter and arrange to stand by at the gate area. Hopefully he will tell us how it worked out.
