Has anyone booked day tours through Interhabit? Are they reliable? I was considering booking a day trip to an estanzia. Or should I wait until we are in BA to book? I have our activities pretty much planned out. This is the last one. Any suggestions will be very much appreciated.

We're here now and loving it so far. Had our first meal last night at La Brigada and it was quite good. We should have split the special steak, however, as that thing was absolutely huge. I could only eat about half of it, and I'm a big eater. I felt so ashamed.
Given that it was our first day in town and we were a bit tired from the travel, we ate "early" at 9pm and indeed the place was practically empty. Just us and some other tourists who, like us, had arrived in B.A. that morning.

I've actually admired their business model, as they get a whole extra round of customers by luring in the early-eating foreigners.

I'm surprised La Brigada was "empty" at 9. I once ate early there and it was the most crowded I've ever seen a BA restaurant at that hour of the day. Almost 100% gringos, of course.

Its no secret that tourism from North America is down... sharply. As Ive posted in another thread, I met with a group of Hotel Execs a week ago and they reported very low occupancy rates. It seems that high hotel prices will soon be part of history... which is a good thing for those planning to come down and spend a few days.

We're on the boat (Banquebus) to uruguay right now! Quite nice actually. One word of advice: bring a pen to fill out the customs forms!
Will they accept argentine pesos over there or should we hit an at when we arrive?
