It's the Malbec specifically that I enjoy about the EZE lounges, not just the fact that you can pour your own booze. In LHR and FRA for example, the lounges are nicer but the wine selection is nothing to write home about. That said, with all those AA 777s leaving around the same time, it would be nice if they could have a bigger space. It helps to be traveling with someone else- one person to go fetch the wine and the other to save the seats!

Sitting in the AA lounge at EZE now, I can confirm that the lounge is small (hard to find a seat!), and food is lacking. There is, however, pour your own wine and free WiFi

Yes it's not the biggest of lounges but neither are any of the other ones I have been in.....I guess lounge space at EZE is kind of restricted.

It was very quiet when I was in it for the BA LHR flight but very busy for the QF SYD flight. I can imagine it must be bursting at the seams in the evening for the AA flights.
Food is nothing to write home about but that was to be expected although there are still plenty of nibbles to keep hunger at bay.....and the booze is decent.

Does the Admirals Club serve that plonk of yours....? aka RSJ..????

I did the EZE lounge circuit on Monday afternoon/evening. AA, UA, and the opulent Sala de las Americas. IB seemed to be closed at that hour, or I'd have gone into there, too, just to add another degree of pathetica. I don't have any access to the Amex lounge.

Opulent...? Ive never been in the mentioned Sala de las Americas... is that the COPA lounge...??

The AMEX lounge is not that great to be honest. At least it wasn't the last time I was in there......no help yourself food or drink you have to be served at the bar. Toilet and shower are in a bit of a state.
Hopefully things have improved since.

Judging by the size of the bubbles I see in the above photo... its clear the sparkler was plonk......

The good news is that you have a couple of good options for bubbly in the AR$60-90 range that offer very good quality... so there is no need to break the bank to get over the plonk.

This was my recent visit to the Admiral's Club. If you like chips, cheese and crackers, and olives, it is a great place. The self-pour malbec is drinkable and is at least as good as anything you'd find for under AR$10 in the market. I find it odd that one of the food offerings (of which I didn't partake) is canned fruit cocktail which you self-serve into inflight plastic drink cups. Mmm mmm good. Where's the jello?

After a stay in the AA lounge, I went to visit the opulent splendor of the Sala de las Americas. As usual (maybe my 4th time in there), a not friendly person took my PP card and "welcomed" me in. I plopped down at one of the 2 computer terminals (which wasn't working well), and had my delectable snack. If you like various types of salty snacks, and chips, and melba toast with fake spreadycheese, this is an excellent lounge. Actually, the packaged pound cake wasn't bad. And as is the case in Argentina, most cheap plonk is drinkable and non-offensive. It gets warm and crowded in here. On the other hand, they have those "cheesy-poofs-on-Steroids" snacks, which are interesting to look at.

As I don't like to luxuriate for too long, I left the Sala (above) and went to the RCC, where a more friendly attendant took my PP card, and where I was in a mostly-empty lounge. While the picture isn't an example of everything on the glorious buffet, it is a representative example. I did take those 2 little dulce de leche containers and put them in my freedom baggie, to go. The rest of the stuff was on par with the best that the EZE lounges have to offer. I really think that these places put as much salt in their snacks as possible prior to long haul flights so you don't have to get up and use the lav inflight so much. The wine here was also pleasantly harmless, and the caramels by the front desk were a nice tasty touch. Notice also here that one gets a real knife to spread the fake cheesegloop on the toastlets.

Finally, the lounge adventure came to an end, and my LAN flight was departing (and just about ready to board) right outside of the RCC.

Having visited the Iberia, Amex and AA lounges at EZE, I think I just ordered from best to worst (for EZE standards).

The Iberia one has the best food selections, and around noon when the BA flight to LHR departs, it's very quiet and almost empty, but it's even smaller than AA's.

The Amex's is divided in 3 areas, depending if you're a gold, platinum or Centurion cardholder. But the Platinum area is so small, it got very crowded very quickly so we decided to leave. The gold area was almost empty, and the seats looked more comfortable, though outdated. I don't have a Centurion card so I don't know how the respective area is.

And the AA's lounge is... well, you know.

The RCC does not open until about 4pm right?
